Is smurfing allowed yes or no

i have been playing some comp and quick play the last days and i noticed how people with level 20-50 are DESTROYING my entire team. Watching kill cams you directly notice how well trained they are with particular heroes and sometimes even admit they are smurfing.
When i point out my team and the others to report the person in question to be reported as smurf, some react that smurfing is actually allowed by Blizzard.

Is it allowed yes or no? So i can adjust my “smurf reporting” to that.

yes it is allowed because they paid for the game

I think it depends tbh. If they are playing different heroes than their main account then it should be allowed because they are practicing other heroes. But if they are constantly throwing to stay in the same rank then it shouldn’t be allowed. It really depends…

Smurfing is unfair, but it’s technically allowed, I THINK. I mean, they paid $60-$40 (or less) for the new copy of the game. It’s much more of an issue on console, however, since the game is shared across accounts and therefore there is no need to pay again. I will admit I do have a smurf I rarely play on for console.

It’s okay so long as they’re playing as best they can.

Unfortunately, smurf accounts on which players actually do that are rare as hens teeth. They’re usually used for some kind of griefing or gameplay sabotage, account boosting or SR manipulation. That’s not allowed, but since any punishment dispensed to the misbehaving account won’t count against the main account; it doesn’t mean a lot.
