He sounds so angry.
Hope he finds it soon.
Ever got a melody or song stuck on your head but you can’t remember what’s it called or who sings it/where it’s from?
Quite frustrating. We’ve all been Sigma at some point.
It’s the universe talking to him.
Did he really just forget the melody?
Or his dealer just had good stuff recently
Well, in Poland there’s game show called “Jaka to melodia?” - the title means “What is that melody?”. Currently we Polish are making joke that Sigma is driver of “Jaka to melodia?”. Here /watch?v=6k0OTz7CEq0 there are all intros of “Jaka to melodia” from 1997 to now (2019).
Is it safe to assume the melody is an auditory hallucination or is there still debate over that?
Apparently, stars release a sound. Scientists call this a “song”. I wonder if the black hole/dying star has something to do with Sigma saying that.
i belive that, due to his (assumed) Split personality, he belives the universo sings to him,but when he changes to another personality,he forgets where the Melody comes from, but can still hear it
he transcribes the melody onto a piano.
it’s toxic by britney spears
or maybe it’s that song that’s in like every family movie trailer that goes “foor yoouuu, foor yooouuuu”
I’ve literally hallucinated orchestra music. I know nothing about the composition I heard, but I imagine it was unique, a song no one has ever actually heard or will ever hear again…one that was actually never heard if you’re technical about it.
I’ll never know “what is that melody?” I doubt Sigma will either.
Schizophrenia is a B!
Its not really fun being schizophrenic but when you get to experience something cool its hard to turn it down, especially when you pay for it every single day.
Probably not going to find it. I think Sigma is meant to push how fragile reality is- that gravity itself can be undone, that perceiving the world in any natural order is a brief and futile affair. Finding the melody would take away the meaning of his character, and the questions he poses alongside it.
I like this theory. Overwatch sometimes has that level of depth and insight, sometimes more, when designing characters. Then they never do anything with it, and we just keep killing each other until they deign to dribble some more lore.
Using real world comparisons, no, Sigma will not find out what that melody is. His mind is creating the song as part of his dementia. He has no control over the song. So, it may become louder, softer, or stop entirely and start suddenly again. On the off chance that Sigma does finally recall or figure out what the song is, he will still have no control over it.
As another poster pointed out, stars to have “songs” to them. They are not sounds since sound doesn’t travel in the vacuum of space. Stars “twinkle” in that they can become brighter and dimmer. By measuring this, technology is used to convert to a playable sound. It sounds like wing blowing over a microphone. Black holes, which is what Sigma was experimenting with, also make “sounds.” A black hole sounds like a drum or a “chirp.”
Neither of these would sound like a piano though which is why I believe that Sigma’s “melody” is his dementia. He believes the universe is singing to him when it is, in fact, his own unbalanced mind that is doing this.
