There’s something about Overwatch that it is boring to watch. Especially the goats meta.
Goats??? Why even mention something that’s been gone for like 3 years
Goats was fun to watch ngl. Lots of subtle nuanced skillful plays that weren’t even noticed until you saw a playback and breakdown.
If you want peak boredom watch Valorant.
Ah yes, the hallmark of a good spectator sport
Goats could be entertaining if you understood the tactics behind it. If you were a casual viewer, it was fairly boring.
Today’s OWL is certainly different, but I think it’s even less enjoyable because even if you aren’t a casual viewer you still don’t know what’s going on. Fights are won or lost in seconds, so once you know who and what to focus on, it’s too late.
The only time OWL matches are somewhat interesting are when they’re being reviewed, where you can slow down time and actually see what’s happening. A sport where only the replays are fun to watch is doomed to fail.
Try watching Valorant.
People sneaking around, suddenly die and now your watching someone else sneaking around.
Apparently this is ‘fun’ to watch. I don’t know about that. I keep falling asleep waiting for something to happen, blink and I miss it.
I mean that is literally the NFL and it’s the largest sport in the US by far.
Video games are for playing and not watching.
Well I mean if you are the kind of person who just watches because it looks cool and doesn’t want to learn then I guess that sucks.
I’m not saying everything was subtle and unnoticed, but it was really cool to see something big and clever the second time round during the highlights that you didn’t even pick up during the gameplay.
A normal player can watch 100 hours of OWL and learn pretty much nothing besides what team comps are strong. They do a really bad job at explaining the strategies and only show widow headshots.
That’s why I miss Jayne…
games aren’t a sport. And all of the tournaments are crépé since they’re made to cater exclusively to the lowskill “pros” they want to hype. [there are a select few actually good ones, but most are silver tier skill with top500 marketing]
i would see league of legends or valorant…but those events get huge viewer numbers so obviously a lot of people disagree
A fun tactical shooter to watch is Rainbow Six Siege IMO, great esports scene and the game in general can get really hype at certain moments.
Owl is super boring to watch also its not eu friendly… So just a trashcan esport league.
Called themselves global league… When ow2 cannot keep up with the promises owl will drop heavy and western teamspots will be sold to asian countries especially china. Then you can enjoy your global league on the chinese version of youtube lmao
Ya nice that dude got bad mental health and playing the game 24/7 sure didnt help at all
Siege is also a mess when the fight actually happens because the timeframe is very short to catch all the important moves but its still better to watch than owl. Because there are teams that earned their place… Also they speak english and not just korean. Its mote relatable
I’m confused you are calling OWL players silver tier? Or am I misunderstanding?

If you want peak boredom watch Valorant.
Seriously though. CS:GO is a complete snoozefest. IDK how people watch that. 30 rounds per map, the same thing over and over? Yikes.
“pro” players in 99% of games. League even had paid trolls to keep people out of master tier. (no idea if they still have them, but seeing as they’re owned by tencent now, the chances are they got even more)
