Is OWL really ruining the game for everyone

If he ever gets a nerf ( I hope he doesn’t) it will be his knockback. This is a test for a blizzard to see do they keep him as he is or change him.

I personally do think that the teams are seperate simply because running the OWL takes more skill than making lore, graphic design, and modeling. Especially for game balancing, to do that you need to be a game analyzer and understand the fundamentals of the game.

So this honestly doesnt account for the balancing team at all imo.
neither does it account for the lore.

but the lack of content is probably being affected by OWL though, i will agree on that.

if they nerf him, its purely for low skill players to have some way to “counter” him.

He is honestly the most balanced character to the point I see people complaining about his damage being high and also people complaining that his damage is too low.
and at that point, imo, the game is finished and will not go into a more high skill game and will ultimately end up like HOTS.

Sorry about that but people will keep asking for more high skill heroes. Unless this game loses the player base, this game will never be finished unless they move on to OW 2.

imo, the playerbase has already dwindled well past 10 mill.

its probably between 8mil and 4 mil right now. so its 100% has dwindled since launch.

If they nerf hammond, a lot of people will recognize the game to be bad and thus will desire a game to fall into. If anything, if no other shooters come out, the playerbase will essentially fragment and go to other games.

tl:dr
They’ll essentially be LOOKING for things to complain and leave the game over if hammond dies, and if a game comes out that is gud they’ll go into it.
the up and coming halo game might kill ow, especially if they hit PCs with halo which they probably will since microsoft owns halo.

I gotta see this if this happens and if you’re right, I’ll praise you for it.

i guarantee you that if the game stays as it is right now in terms of balance and content, a year or two from now when all the E3 games come out. Overwatch will 100% die, most of the playerbase will leave.

but yeah, I believe Halo has potential to be on the PC platform.

Halo Online was published by microsoft and it was recently shut down.
So then about a year or two later, out pops master chief in 2018 E3.
If you take how nintendo operates when it comes to fan games and apply it here, you can 100% anticipate something Halo on PC.

Alright, when the time comes, we’ll see.

I mostly hate how Blizzard pushed for a usually community driven idea on their own. It feels so corporate. Like they’re packaging Fun™ and trying to seem hip about it. It feels so suffocating. I heard that you cant host comp matches with cash prize without blizzards notice or something?
Anyway, it’s the thing blizzard does. They like to have a stranglehold on their content. It began with things like no custom sprays to now they host esport matches. Theyre trying to have their cake and eat it too.

i mean i can understand the no custom stuff tbh.
Cus people are afraid they’ll just put lewds in the game and then the game just “devalues” ad-wise.

cus it’d have a lot of problematic stuff and then moderating that would be a hassle. I dont even think Steam moderates sprays.

OWL is run by a completely seperate team and pulls absolutely no resources away from development.
The people who blame OWL just want something to blame/hate.

They caused a nerf to one of my most favorite heroes, all because they didn’t “like her”.

And now shes the worst hero in the game.

So, yeah, I have pretty good reason to hate the OWL. That and theres scummy business practices of locking cosmetics that aren’t related to the OWL behind a paywall when it could be added to the game.

Wasn’t it contenders showing her that an coordinated team can make her greato right?

They run on different patches than live anyways. Why not give the pro league their own balance?

Maybe, but I don’t think it could work out. It could cause a confusion between everyone.

It already has with disabled Sym rework hanzo/ valk instant rez . They kept those in their league well after live patches dropped.

Yea, you’re right though.
