Is OWL or OWC better to watch right now?

with overwatch contenders being on a very recent patch and overwatch league being on a 6 year old patch(i know their patch isnt that old but it feels like it) which is better to watch?

its weird how overwatch contenders is always on a recent patch while overwatch league is so slow when it comes to patches

I’d watch OWC any day over OWL, Just not sure how quite honestly never tried to watch.

OWC is more “experimental” and closer to Top500 ranked than OWL.
Only in contenders can you see Brig/Lucio support line being meta.

Btw, picking Brig over Moira is really weird.
I wonder if Contenders is played on the last Moira rework patch.

i believe it is, i wonder when the junker queen nerfs will appear for contenders or maybe they already have, guess i need to watch the last match played to see if she is used at all(if not then the nerfs have already happened)

There is no owl to watch for a bit anyways. And when it’s back I assume they will be on a patch from last beta.

Probably OWL, unless you specifically mean while OWL is on break—though even then I’d watch some of the better Chadi matches of close 5-matchers over Contenders.

At present, Contenders is just messy JQ mirrors or slow-burn Sigma mirrors.

For JQ mirrors, the fights are just who runs out of health first, compliments of their Lucio-Brig backlines, with a Genji occasionally managing to burst something down. It’s honestly making me hope that JQ won’t be strong in OWL because of how damn dull it is to watch on the whole.

For Sigma it’s… the same as you see already in OWL, except with less tactical variation and no one being good enough at other tanks to risk taking them instead, it seems.

:: LHCloudy and Stryder are/make an exception to the generalizations above. (Arguably because of basically one-tricking.)

right now i am watching a match where someone picked hog…the hog team got destroyed and then they went to ball and now its ball vs ball, they did select junker queen and got destroyed on her too
