Am I the only one noticing the VERY high volume of M&K players on console. I don’t really mind them in quick play but I worry we are gonna have some flash backs to Overwatch 1 if something is not done about the issue for competitive.

I can’t really tell myself, I can barely handle a controller as is so I assume everyone is better than me by default…
Have you tried playing with gyro controls in handheld mode on Switch? I don’t recommend it.
I think it’s extremely unfair tbh. I bought a console because I want to play against other players who are also using a controller.

Yes it is definitely cheating, they are using a third party adapter called Xim 4 or Cronus to trick the game and console into thinking the MnK is a controller.

I had a xim for awhile but its clunky and not nearly like the PC experience and just went back to controller. So no. Plus if you’re already bad its not going to magically make you good.

Consoles should just come with a keyboard and mouse tbh.

wait i thought the time of the XIM is over now that the new consoles allow kb&m? i use it regularly for a few games, haven’t tried it on OW2 though
i guess it’s still not supported there?
considering that it grants more movement due to how a mouse functions, sort’ve, but also no? I don’t care about it because of how crossplay works and the fact a console player can be paired up with a PC player.
just as a side option, maybe. I remember when everyone craved keyboards with consoles back in the day for some reason, but it died out quickly.
New ps5 and xbox make m/kb a thing now so i think its gonna phase out as cheating.

I’m a ps5 player and I thought this on OW1. I do think M&K players need to be in the pc pool.
However once I started OW2 and started using 120fps, my aim has gotten so much better.
On my PotG highlights, I noticed that the reticle moved so fast it looked like I was using M&K but I wasn’t.
I then realized that a lot of Xbox players had access to 120fps in OW1 when PlayStation players did not.
There are def M&K players though. I just wanted to point out that killcams and highlights speed up the reticles.
We have to look out for the “jerky” accelerated movements in all directions.

If a person is using mouse and keyboard on console then that person should be put in PC pool or at the very least a separate pool for consoles using mouse and keyboard. Not sure if Blizzard can make the later possible though.
