I think one of the reasons people dont like him is because unlike widow he doesnt lose depth of field, and his turning/walking speed is only slightly slower as compared to widows very slower. This means that his flick shots and mid range dps are better and feel cheaper. But it also means he cant compete with widow since he doesnt have the visual range. Maybe have him zoom in while holding rightclick might work. It would cause him to need to be further back when sniping thereby moving his power further back on the battle field

I think he s problem is his too effective at nearly all range. Which ultimately has multiple factors. Fov is one of them i just dont know myself what to do specifically since it allows him to be great at short range in comparison to widow and stuff despite having the tool kit to also be good at long range //shrug

With high damage it means youd want to either straight nerf his damage, nerf his close range effectiveness or nerf his consistency. Since inconsistent doesnt feel fun and hes designed for a sniper All i can think of is some nerf to his close range effectiveness. Anyway that can be achieved i guess

It is not that he is a projectile sniper, some of the community actually thinks that is an advantage.

The hardest part of Hanzo’s kit is that he has a variable projectile speed and to truly master Hanzo, you have to master him at every projectile speed which is basically impossible. No other hero in the game has to deal with this and is the only reason I consider Hanzo having an insanely high skill-ceiling.

Anyone that mains Hanzo will understand that on average his projectile speed is wayyy slower than the likes of Mei’s icicle. This is because the more you play Hanzo, the more you understand that you want to release the arrow at exactly when it will deal 200 damage on a headshot. Widow players do the exact same thing but she is hitscan, so her shots will always be the same, it is a completely different story for Hanzo.

True it sure is possible but i think the devs themselves are a okay with his current state? I mean they did buff the hitscan weapons to keep up with hanzo (i mean if it was about widow they wouldve buffed the hitscans sooner) which sadly in my opinion lead to a damage creep

Mei has to charge her shots. Hanzo can release his whenever he likes.

How is this even an arguement? It’s waaaay easier to hit Hanzo’s arrows and they one-shot over half the cast.

Yeah youre right. If the devs think hes overperforming theyll do something. I mean sometimes it doesnt feel fun to get random flick headshotted at 90 degree turns but random stuff is random and it happens.

I wouldnt mind some way to stop him from spamming down a choke though. Sometimes it feels like They always somehow hit me

Hahaha true. I guess the silver lining to the projectile speed buff is that they cant just spam at corners anymore and basically headshot you by luck

Hanzo has spam arrows.
Meis windup to her gun is a lot different to a charge time.
Mei has no mobility beside a wall, which isnt even for mobility.
Mei cannot 1 shot unless its tracer or baby dva.

Spamzo can delete 3 people in 4 seconds with half draw pulls at melee range without reloading cause hes a SNIPER! Thanks Jeff.

With the exception of Tracer, Mei cannot one shot anyone. Her icicle has to form in the gun after the click to fire is done, then it leaves the gun and has travel time. Spamzo pulls back on the bow and can hold the projectile and then it’s damn near hitscan because they buffed his arrow speed for some godawful reason.
