Do you guys think Blizzard will ever make new events? The same boring events are on a repeat cycle for years now. If there’s another year of lucio ball I won’t even bother updating the client - like for real what is this? Junkrats Halloween event AGAIN? ugh Zzzzzzz

I only play Archives and Junkenstine’s revenge in terms of events
I also think archives will be the only event with new gameplay each year

They can’t win. Cause see. If they skip out on the Halloween event to give us something different. People will cry that Junks revenge is gone. It’s just how the community is.

Just make junkenstein available in the arcade? I don’t see a problem here, just blizzard giving up on overwatch
You just need to accept that no matter what happens there will always be a portion of the community that says blizzard is killing their game. I feel like one of the only faithful ones that has never said that.
The game has lost quite a few players on PC hence they brought it to consoles. It lost a lot of popularity on twitch and there are tons of streamers and pro players who left overwatch behind. The game is not dead and not being killed but it’s definately not on a rise. It’s stale and it feels like the devs don’t care about progressing the game rather than putting all their money into esports.
Buy skins if you think they are interesting enough
just play for the free skins and stop like the rest of us. thats all i really bother with these days
You can’t blame the community for wanting new content into a game that is still earning a sizable amount of money from at least a portion of the community. People are still buying the game, some buy multiple copies to reset their MMR or smurf. Others buy loot boxes, digital passes, owl tokens etc.
For all the millions Blizzard makes off OW we get treated worse than a free to play game in terms of content. Plus seriously you can’t say just because they made a new game mode the old one had to go. They kept Mei’s snowball challenge when they got the Yeti hunt.
Or you know make new events around entirely different time frames and keep the old ones as they are. Why not a Blizzard day, day the company was founded. Or international holidays? Sure the western audience will have no idea what most the holidays are, but we don’t care as long it involves new stuff and presents.
I mean we already have Chinese new year, and it means nothing to me but I enjoy new skins and game modes.
Funny thing is I can’t even imagine how blizzard makes a profit any more off loot boxes. Seriously any one who plays even once or twice a day has enough credits to buy every new skin as it comes out. 3 new legendary skins is only 9k credits… That is assuming you actually like them all and get none in boxes.
Credits are so easy to get after about a year of playing this game as the default box never seems to change so you get nothing but dupes pretty fast.
Yeah it’s gotta be rough. but they probably get all their money from owl anyways so events are probably a way to bring in new players.
I see the events as a cosmetics update routine.

If you care about skins, yeah. Otherwise it’s still a no.
I don’t care about events or if there are any at all. For me personally the events are just something to ignore and get some nice skins at best.
I play for ranked, nothing esle. Not only on this game. Events are on every game boring. Nice when a game is new but no matter what cool events they add, for they are always boring.
