Is It Weird . .

That I love playing OWC Mercy better than current Mercy?

Eh, the dopamine hits hard from mass rez, many a player was addicted to it in the day. Going back to having zero GA tech feels awful tho.

I can’t comment on current Mercy but I’m enjoying OWC Mercy.

Though I do instinctively still try to slingshot myself, even though I haven’t played Overwatch in a while and just came back for this event.

Its not even the mass rez, its just the way she feels for me… I can actually heal and save people/boost their damage and such.

Healing seems to have more of an impact, which is weird because this didn’t have the healing creep.

???

It’s at 50 hps, which is lower than it is now. And has the same damage boost numbers post 225 hp changes.

I know … I said its weird.

Mei-be it has to do with the hit boxes being small again, and no one is playing seriously.

So things are missing, and your not getting major wombo-combo ult comps.

Faster ult charge.
Mass Rez.

Now Mercy is just a fly with a mild ult, easy to play but not very satisfying or impactful.

Incorrect. The dps passive puts it well below 50

it also didn’t have the damage creep that necessitated the healing creep (which IMO has outpaced the damage creep)

It’s 60HP/s if the passive is not being applied
The passive is -20% healing, which would mean a loss of 12HP/s. So the net result would be 48HP/s which is not really “well below” 50

And if you consider that the DPS passive is -10% healing on tanks, that means it only loses 6HP/s, so it still heals 54HP/s.

You heal damage. The passive is applied by dealing damage. You see the conection?

It is in terms of HPs. Mercys viability has historically been a matter of +/- 5 hps.

What would Mercy be healing a tank. What is she trying to farm there. Valkyrie?

No need to be snarky, jeez.

The DPS passive only lasts for a couple of seconds, so if someone runs away from a fight to their Mercy, there is a good chance they don’t have the DPS passive applied while the Mercy is topping them up.

And you didn’t mention that your logic only applies if the Mercy never heals tanks. Lots of them do. Lighten up.

Whoa. Thank GAWD. If someone runs away from a battle Mercy can have impactful healing. You know what else heals you when you leave battle? A healthpack, your own healing passive, possibly the payload. You need support healing midfight not when its over

There was no DPS passive is OWC

We just won a game after their Mercy got a three man resurrection and ours got four instead. That was pretty clutch. And somehow a Bastion tickling people in a teamfight got play. Weird…

I wish that was true, 4 out of my last 5 OWC games have been won or lost because of grav dragon.

Probably Because the only other supports are zen and lucio. Youre not competing with the overkitted supports from ana onwards.
