Is it Time to Buff Lifeweaver's Damage?

So we all know about the armor rant and changes…
(go read those forums if you need)
What I’m Wondering is it time for Life weaver to be moved from that healing powerhouse, to I’m going to place thorns in you with more damage.
So what ideas would you have to Buff this part of Lifeweaver’s kit,

I had this idea that Petal platform if used by a enemy causes damage to them or makes them stuck of a set amount of time.

But the thorn blaster is my main thing.
So at the moment we have this amazing Dps passive that knocks 20% off healing So why isn’t this value moved to LW damage, How bad could buffing thorn blaster to 10,11 Per shot. (life weaver mains know they spend most the time “healing” But that’s beyond the point)

I thought I’d raise it here as a mega thread because I’m curious on what we can do to keep lifeweaver still fun to play and still contribute to the team.

I really just think he needs a better weapon swap speed and reload speeds.
His raw DPS is already solid against anything that isn’t a highly armored tank, the clunky manual and passive reloads neuter him way more than necessary.

Just to run the numbers:
Technically he does 12 damage per shot since he fires 2 projectiles each time for 22 projectiles/11 shots per second @ 6 damage per projectile.
If you want to raise it to 10 damage per projectile his raw DPS would jump from 132 to 220, up it to 12 damage and he can oneclip squishies with only bodyshots (264 dps), a single crit thorn and he’d one clip someone in range of Brig’s Inspire or Lucio’s unamped Heal song. A 30% crit rate would get him to 336 DPS. That’s almost Turret Bastion DPS.

The weapon switching would be a nice change as well, how would you improve this?

LW as a bastion DPS would be a great April fools joke

Same way they did with Mercy, just lower the delay/recovery time.
She went from having a 1 second lockout to 0.51 second lockout before being able to use her staff/pistol, I don’t see why they can’t do the same for Weaver (though I can’t find how long his delay/recovery is on the wiki so suggesting an exact number is a little difficult).

Similarly buff his manual reloads from 1.5 to 1.2 seconds (this might be limited to healing blossoms only, and he may need a light nerf or reversion to the max healing but that could probably come in a follow-up patch or hotfix) and the passive reloads (these are the automatic reloads occurring when he isn’t using a firing mode for a long enough time) to like 1.6 seconds down from 2.5.

Mercy’s the closest parallel to Weaver for weapon set-up with the fully supportive or fully combative layout but her blaster reloads after 1.4 seconds regardless of if she’s actively using it or has swapped back to staff and I do not for the life of me understand why Weaver is so punished for changing to his alternate fire. He feels discouraged from adapting to a fight and it really makes no sense on a hero who’s so reliant on adapting abilities with huge value potential to create win conditions.
