Like… you replace his easy to hit braindead stun, with an easy to hit braindead high dmg ability. Why is it this difficult to give the man something to raise his skill ceiling. Or is cass just always gonna be that really easy to pick up hero that gets idiotic abilities to carry whoever is playing him.
Like trust, i’d rather get hit by the high dmg and have a chance at living, than with a stun that is a free kill, but like come on man. Is it really this hard to just give him an ability that requires more than a singular active braincell to land?

The real usage of braincells is coming from defending that stuff.
Just remove the homing and I’d be fine with that.

when he was a hard hero everyone complained about how useless he is.

It’s obvious not a aim intensive ability like I was expecting, but it’s better than being unable to move or do anything and then immediately die to his alt fire
I think the goal is to keep him as a Tracer counter (despite him never really being one)
But yeah it should actually take skill to land

In the context of this particular complaint… what do you mean?
We need abilities like that to counter dive and flankers. Just be glad it doesn’t counter your precious mains as hard.

Yes, because if your aim is good there are better hitscans.

This ability is genuinely even less of a tracer counter. It moves slower than flashbang, but even if you DO land it… she can just recall out of the sticky.
If Cass doesn’t have an ability like this he is basically useless, he needs some form of dive mitigation/easier to hit ability for him to be able to brawl. If he doesn’t have one Reaper is probably better in brawl and Ashe is better with spam. Just shorter range Ashe without dynamite

It’s less of a tracer counter but it still forces resources out of her, forcing recall is huge in the 1v1

Just because FB has a huge radius it doesn’t mean that Cassidy as a whole doesn’t take skill/have a high skill ceiling.
But yeah I’m not against giving him a harder ability.

Cassidy doesn’t take skill. Everything about him is simple and straight forward. Plus he’s a mid range hitscan character, his shots are not hard to hit.

In before AKJ, DVS and Nerf Mercy.

Welp long ago on the old forum ppl would ask for McCree buffs and Jeff responded with a McCeee clip of Pine or Wanted, which I believe it was his way of saying “McCree doesn’t need buffs as long as you’re highly skilled with him you’ll dominate”
Cassidy isn’t even that good.
Not in Overwatch 2 at least
In the live game he’s a beast

No, he’s really not… with some basic understanding of Peel from your tank and using cover to your advantage, you’ll notice that Cassidy isn’t really that good.
Play soldier instead.
Explains why he’s played in high rank and soldier isn’t… oh wait.
Cree is better than soldier in practically everything lmfao. Other than just raw damage output, to which that provides literally nothing over actual pick potential which cree has over soldier.
Or you can just play both? Or pair him with Ashe or Tracer
You know… what most of my games look like
That’s not the problem with him at all
The problem is that he has medium to long range AND close range combat, which is arguebly the problem with every single hitscan.
He’s been incredible for a while now and I’m pretty glad it’s coming to an end in OW2
