I need to block Middle East servers to play on Europe servers properly, but when I do that using the advice from this OW1 video - How to block ME (middle east) servers in overwatch_آموزش بلاک کردن سرور خاورمیانه در اورواچ - YouTube - the game puts me in those servers anyway but just doesn’t connect me, leading to a DC. Is there a way to avoid Middle East servers while also not having these DC issues?

used it before and it does block the region, however, it may or not work for you
due to the cross-platform function that they added in OW2 , it now puts you in whatever server region the game thinks you have the best ping. and there is no way to change it which is dumb. we should be able to select where. they don’t care
Use caution when blocking regions, if you’re able to get that working for you. When you try to connect to a match and it’s blocked, you’ll see a fail to connect to the match server error and eventually receive penalties if it happens regularly.
