“Res” is short for ressurect, “rez” is slang. Both can be used.

You can use “s” if you go by the way the shortened word “resurrect” is written or you can use “z” because of the way “resurrect” is pronounced (rezəˈrekt).

So when someone’s being a jerk, you res them.
But when they’re amazing and you need them in the fight you rez them.

It’s a very important difference that a lot of people get wrong.

Also press G to rex someone.

I either say “rez” or resurrect.

Depends. Do you prefer the American shortened form of “Resurrection” or the British shortened form?

:us: “Rez”
or
:uk: “Res”

?

I’m making this up!

RES is what I always use.
Would one spell it"resurrect," or “rezurrect?”

In England they say Res, because they use ‘s’ for words like ‘realise.’ In America it’s “Rez” because it’s spelled realize. In Canada they spell it Rex, because of bears.

Res singular

Rez for plural, past and present participle

Makes sense? :man_shrugging:t5:

I think it is common for “resed” to be the past tense.
Again, for past tense, would you say “resurrected,” or “rezurrected?”
Either way, past or present, I don’t believe it is proper to use the “Z.”

I was going for more of a ease of reading thing more than proper grammar. Ressing, ressed, resses all read funny lol

I prefer res.

Rez makes me think of old slangwords and sort of leetspeech.
