Is it possible to replace Overwatch voice lines?

I have my own custom voice lines and I wanna replace the English ones with them, is it possible somehow?

Naah I don’t think it’s possible.
Imagine if instead of ‘‘It’s high noon’’ you replace it with a long and loud scream, it gives an unfair advantage. Knowing which ults voicelines belongs to which hero is part of the game’s skills.

That said, what I think they meant was could they make a soundboard of their own personal voice recordings.

No, it’s not possible to replace the voice lines in-game with your own. The voice lines - and all data files for that matter - are stored in container files. And those container files are probably also hardcoded into the game’s engine, so you’d have to encrypt them using Blizzard’s own tools to make container files that the game engine would support.

It’s also illegal and might be picked up by their anti cheat system and get you banned, should you find some way to circumvent their container files.

I’d be happy if it only changed them for me, not the rest of the team. Then I would put the most asinine files in my folder…

As I said, it can give you an unfair advantage. Imagine if you replace the ‘‘Hammer Down’’ voiceline by ‘‘Ennemy reinh ult’’. It would be easier to play the game and count the ennemy team’s ultimates.
Recognizing voicelines and what they mean is part of the game.
I undertsand that sound packs (like in Minecraft) can be fun, but in Overwatch, a multiplayer game where sound is really important, you shouldn’t be able to change sounds/voicelines. (or maybe just in certain custom games, but it would be a big change for not that much)

I think if that’s the case then voice line application just burns down to familiarity; all it is is an audio que and in that sense it just takes time to be able to reflexively mentally associate that sound with that que.

I don’t really think it’s necessary in OW to be able to change them, if anything for a good chuckle…

IE: death sounds would be great if I could make everyone sound like tourettes guy. I have a skyrim sound pack where my Mudcrabs swear when I hit them. Hilarious.

It’d be cool if this was in the Workshop, but sadly not yet.
