Is it me or the MEELE attack needs rework? Graphics & Sound

Some characters need the meele attack like a secondary fire eg Winston yet every time i press the meele button and even if I make the Kill or LAND THE PUNCH … i have NO SOUND/GRAPH REFERENCE if my punch landed or not.

  1. Perhaps some mild grafics? (eg a 0,5sec blood animation when the punch lands)

  2. And the sound effect is so low i cant hear it although i use ASTRO 50 dolby premium headphones

Why i say this because if the “LANDED HIT” becomes more “APPARENT” (from grafic and sound experience)then we wil be able to calculate the distance needed

It’s always the same distance, regardless of character, Winston’s ultimate is different. Can’t argue with a hit indication though.

Incorrect, due to hero hitboxes, Roadhog has the shortest Melee range in the game.

Tracer on the other hand, has the largest effective melee range in the game due to her melee + blink combo.

I had no idea u mean to say Winstons Meele is diffrent to eg Mackree ?

In distance and power ?

Im going to overbuff right now to check

Anyway i just wanted a grafical or sound effect in order to know if i got a hit or no

This doesn’t include special melees like rein or Brigitte.

Relative range doesn’t mean that one is smaller than the other.

The melee range of each hero is effectively the same. However, Roadhog is physically larger than other heroes. His melee range still starts from his centre, like all other heroes. But due to his size, you have to get closer in order for your melee to work, if that makes sense.

There is a noise, it’s similar if not the same to the noise that registers when you shoot/damage someone, it’s just not the loudest so you’ll have to listen for it

Hi plus I went to “OW wiki meele attacks” … (url is overwatch.gamepedia(dotCOM)/meele)

It apears all heroes do 30 damage with 1sec cooldown for next punch, apart Rein Briggiite Torb

BUT THE SITE ALSO SAIS

  • Torbs HAMER 55 DAMAGE !!!
    I had no idea U could use the hammer for meele!
    There is a post here requesting this and it exist
    (ill go test it as I cant brake anything with the hammer such us balcony barriers)

and for what is worth it includes

  • Genjis Dragonblade 150

  • Winstons Rage 40 per hit (again i thought it was 30 and had a TROW-PUSH buff)

  • Reins swing 75

It irks me to no end that Doomfist doesn’t melee with his Doomfist.

I mean it’s probably a lot faster to swing with your normal hand than to swing a giant metal fist
