I’m torn on using the hamster. I feel like he has great mobility with the grappling hook. But his damage output with the guns feels really low. Or maybe the problem is that he only has 80 rounds before reload.
I run out of ammo mid fight and my opponent lives. I think that giving hammond have 100 rounds may help.
His guns were never intended to be his primary source for damage output.
because he is not a dps hero
his damage is good for a off tank
He’s a main tank tho
His job is to create chaos and distraction so that your DPS (or brigette) can secure the kills. His headshot damage isnt totally bad though.

It’s pretty easy to kill heroes with 250 or less hp with a piledriver + unloading his guns into center mass tbh.
The reload is INSANELY long.
Hammond has guns? All I ever see people do with him is spin around the point and nothing else.
no he is not - main tanks have shields…
Adaptive SHIELDS is one of his abilities.
never reload manually, ball form is for reload (and another slam) if the first set didnt get the kill…
Main tanks don’t necessarily have shields…Hog used to be a Main Tank.
Main tanks are Rein, Orisa, Winston currently though, so right now you’re right.
Regardless, Hammond is not a main tank…at all.
Yeah I played myself couple games with him. I played against d.va 1v1 with him and all I can tell I think his gun isn’t strong enough compare with d.va automatic guns. Her guns way stronger then his and yeah I think D.va is in the better position if you want to take tank in comp she is the way to go
It’s probably not just you, but I really disagree, Hammond’s weapons is one of the best feeling ones in the game to me.
He can already assassinate baclkine heroes too well.
And his tanking is the best kind of tanking. he takes all the attention whereas people may not shoot at barriers.
His guns aren’t great but they’re still better overall than D.Va’s at most ranges if you can track heads.
hehe. when I play bastion behind a barrier and get like 10 kills people start shooting.
no he’s not, just because some people play him like that doesn’t make it so, he doesn’t have shields to protect his teammates and his peel ability isn’t even that great compared to like winstons or d.vas. His like a road hog with slightly more mobility and he can’t heal himself.
All they need is a 20 percent damage increase from 2.5-5 dps to 3-6 dps. Boom fixed even tested this out in a custom game with other people.
