is the overwatch forums slowly becoming a social media site on it’s own. i mean i use the forums to discuss game-play and make suggestions, but people make these pointless threads and now you can share videos and use emojis.
is this just a social media site where people happen to have one common interest?
You’re over thinking it. It’s fun to be able to see posts of Overwatch related pictures / videos. Pointless threads will always exist 
To be fair, there are no pointless threads. Most of the threads that are there for fun are there for fun. Fun is the point, even if the discussion goes nowhere.
Even the scum of the forums whining about how their main can’t dominate the game have posts and threads with a purpose (even though that purpose is not at all intelligible).
Eh, it’s fine.
