Is it just me, or is Ashe the most focused hero in OW2?

Yes, I suck, I’m sure plenty of people will remind me, but aside from me sucking, is it just me, or is Ashe the most focused hero in the game?

Lately, the first thing a:

Genji
Moira
Zen (orb nonstop)
Reaper
Sombra
Winston
Dva
(and sometimes Tracer)

…does is come after the Ashe and focus her all game. And other than Zen/Tracer, those heroes are always used lately. Ashe needs more range… So much added mobility in the game, Ashe needs to be able to do more damage from a little further out, imo.

I think Ashe will be fine if the overtuned dps are all nerfed.

I don’t know. She’s probably one of my best DPS characters

but I get the feeling this is perspective if she’s being targeted. I mean generally (and I do mean generally; I play MH) I tend to target and focus fire the healers first; especially Mercy )

I definitely think that a good amount of the DPS heroes need a retune, they don’t appear to have been touched for OW2/5v5 and they definitely need work.

You’re prob right. This DPS Passive has made things worse for Ashe too. Helps mobile DPS heroes much more than her.

Yeah, seems that way in higher elos for sure.

Yeah, she’s normally my best hero, lately there are usually one or two enemies focusing just me… So I have some good and some bad, but fewer overall good matches w her than previously.

Joking? Nope. Not running away either. I’ve been playing for over a year, the rhythm is actually kind of new in terms of increased attention on Ashe. Like, regardless of whether I play well, hit shots and out dual those focusing me or not, they just keep on focusing me when I play Ashe. Losing to them makes it worse, beating them makes it worse… it’s weird. But I’m low elo so I’m sure it’s a lot different for the majority of players.

20m is not ranged. It’s less range than over half the dps heroes.

My point is her goal is to sit back and shoot people. So people are gonna focus chasing her to prevent her from doing that.

She is a sniper with anti dive. 100% of her kit problems come from coachgun

Sure, I get that. But they also focus her because she’s not very mobile. Coach gun cooldown is always longer (10s) than the speed cooldown being used to chase her (fade 6s, wraith 8s + shadow step 10s, stealth 6s + translocator 6s, boosters 4s, jump pack 5s). I mean, Widows hook is 12s, but she actually has more range than other dps. Ashe has the same range as Cassidy, and lower range than all other DPS aside from Sombra, Sym, Reaper, Tracer. So her range is tied for 5th place lowest out of 17 dps heroes, yet her mobility cooldown is longer than every other mobile cooldown aside from Widow and tied with Torb’s which also self-heals.

They should give her a 30m range to match her mobility, or reduce her mobility cooldown to 6s.

The only way you can stop being targeted is to kill whoever is targeting you double tap them when they push you do this twice they won’t come after you.

If you can’t swap to sombra.

Also they focus ashe cause she has a big head and a loud mouth.

I personally like to focus widow whenever she’s in play, you gotta snip em quick or else you’ll pay for it later.

Remember your greatest advantage is RANGE… therefore, prepare to be focused. Aha

I know that. That’s not the point. And you can’t always just double tap, esp tanks, but my point isn’t about winning or losing the dual. It’s about whether her kit is balanced to give her a vulnerability level that matches her damage.

But is Ashe really a sniper? Her RANGE is only 20m. That’s the same as Cassidy and Soldier, and only 4 other DPS heroes have less range than her (Tracer, Sombra, Sym, Reaper). So she is tied for the 5th LOWEST range out of 17 DPS heroes. Yet, her mobility cooldown is 10s, while every other mobility cooldown used to chaser her down is lower (fade 6s, wraith 8s + shadow step 10s, stealth 6s + translocator 6s, boosters 4s, jump pack 5s). Widow’s is 12s but she actually has RANGE. Torb’s is 10s also but his self-heals and he has range.

They need to actually give her range, which was my original point. It should be 30m and if not, they need to reduce her coachgun cooldown to 6s.

Remember it dosen’t really matter.

Soldier = auto rifle
Cassidy = Magnum Revolver
Ashe = semiauto Long rifle

She will pick you apart at a distance JUST like widow, it really dosen’t matter. If it has a scope and hitscan… it’s basically a sniper.

Point is, a good ashe will play just like that and choke you at a distance, only an inexperienced ashe would put herself too close to the action.

Again, Scope + Hitscan = “get em’ while they’re far” lol difference is soldier just sprays and prays.

While Cassidy and Ashe have to accurately aim or waste ammo, not to mention every shot does BIG damage if it hits.

Cassidy’s Peacekeeper packs just as big of a punch as Widows sniper or Ashes rifle BUT it still dosen’t have a scope… so while sniping with it is possible, it be easier with a scoped weapon.

This is just my take on the matter, remember people will focus WHOEVER they feel like when playing, it’s all in the moment.
Trust me when I say, No one’s picking on you.

They just decided you’re a threat they don’t wanna deal with later.
