I still think she needs a rework. I’ve never liked her healing pylon because this game has way too much healing as it is. Her damage I guess is fine but she should not have that delay that she does. Other than that she’s fine
Illari I think is ok actually. She’s mid, b-tier. Like she’s situational where you need the right comp and map for her to really shine. But she’s got her moments.
After 40 hours of playing her in QP, I found out that genji can reflect her sunburst…
Nah she’s pretty good if you can aim and they don’t play hyper mobility hyper sustain characters. I think she’s as good as ana rn, just in a different manner. there will be games where you have to swap.
I don’t like how DPS-oriented Supports are becoming as a whole, and I feel like Illari is the biggest offender there with really strong heals and strong DPS capability.
She’s not great, but there’s worse supports you could choose.
Illari doesn’t offer anything that Bap doesn’t imo, Bap is just better
She’s been trash for most of the time since her release.
You need a very high skill to get any value with her. For a very long time she is the lowest picked Support in Competitive, even lower than Lifeweaver and her win-rates are around 49-50%.
Illari has stronger burst heal actually, since her secondary fire is on a much shorter cooldown than Bap’s regen.
But yeah, in a nutshell I agree. In basically every situation where Illari is good, Bap is just as good, if not better. IF gives him utility, great vertical mobility means he’s better on high ground maps, and his ult is better too imo.
Illari is always gonna be mid with Bap around, especially after his most recent buff.
I don’t think Illari needs a rework. I think it comes down to number tweaking. I’d go with something in the spirit of:
- Lower cooldown on pylon, but back to 100 HP and probably less HPS (tweaking the self-healing penalty if needed). I feel that the s11 (IIRC, patch note site is broken for me) changes went in the wrong direction.
- Better secondary, but not in terms of raw HPS, in terms of range. Junos are unhappy with fall-off starting at 20m. Man, I wish Illari could have 20m on her beam, let alone being able to do some healing at higher ranges than that but with a fall-off penalty.
- Maybe some pizzazz on Outburst, like being able to double-jump after using the ability. But this is me being greedy and not something that I’d want to get in the way of the above two changes.
Even so, she’d probably still sit below Bap and co., but I don’t feel that that’s an actual problem. We have B tier heroes in other roles and that’s okay. What matters is that her kit feels good to use and I think there’s a little bit more work to be done on that front.
