It seems like the majority of players there are doing just that. I’ve seen some vids and people are literally throwing. Is this really what’s going on down there?
Not that I see in game ( I’m 600ish SR) . Everyone seems to be legit playing to win and gain SR and ranks

I’m sure there are legitimate players down there trying to win. I spent quite a bit of time in Bronze a few seasons back. Played with a few 800-ish SR people, and … yeah, many normal players.
Not everyone can be good at video games. Someone has to be at the bottom.
I suck at FPS games I died 6 times in Destiny 2 ( got it free so tried it ) in the tutorial … But I enjoy Overwatch and playing D’Va so I try my bronzey best to win at all times.

Haha, in a similar boat. I have a vision disability, so I’m pretty terrible … but I love video games. Always have, always will.
There’s nowhere in the rule book of gaming that says you have to be good to be a gamer. It’s the love of the game that counts.

It’s the age old difference between pro and amateur games. Play for $ or play for the love of the game.
I know a friend that’s <500SR. There’s some overlap in our mains pool, so watching their gameplay highkey makes me want to cry.
That’s not really enough of a sample size to make such a claim
It’s a bit hard to stay down there, but it’s not like the videos mocking them.
It’s not like there’s an active bronze twitch channel with every replay of every game there. So the few vids are all I have.
BTW to any bronzes in this thread: I’m not hating at you, not everyone is good at this game. I’m just curious.
I’ve been bronze since beta and have always tried to win. It just doesn’t seem to matter. No matter how many hours I try, how many videos I watch, how many times I watch my own play, how many times I watch pro games – NOTHING works, NOTHING helps to improve.
