I feel like it goes on for to long and can regenerate easily.

Does anyone else feel this way at all?

By itself, no.

With everything else on her, yes.

the main thing now is the amount of armor Dva has and how much armor is giga busted right now means the downtime when she doesnt have matrix is muuuch less punishable.

i find matrix inherently annoying and poorly designed so ill hold my tongue on it to not be biased

I mean, most of the streamers have been saying Dva is busted. She’s definitely strong, but I don’t know if I’d say she’s too strong. Then again, I’m only in diamond. I feel like she becomes stronger and stronger as you go up. Remember, the power of a character comes in tiers. In bronze, Widow is a throw pick and Sym is OP. In GM, Widow is the OP pick.

It’s very good my main issue is that it’s not very fun for the majority of your output just be deleted. At least with shields shooting at them allows you to kill the things behind it after a bit, but with matrix it’s shooting into a void then if the dva is bad at managing it you get to shoot 375 armor health before it’s back up.

Um she can’t even block certain stuff or ultimates with it. Meanwhile we have shields that can literally block/cancel ults and block all sorts of damage besides close melee damage heroes. D.Va is weak in that she is forced to be close to enemies, which makes her have the biggest hit box when fighting them and to maximize her damage, while other tanks can have smaller hitboxes by being ranged and block 100% of ability damage effects with shields.

the difference is that you can break a shield and it is down for a while,

you can put 400 million billion trillion googols of non beam/melee damage into matrix and Dva wont even yawn. even at their best shields can be broken by sheer force, matrix still shuts down weeeellllll over half the casts damage output

(and she can block projectile based ults lol)

Dva’s shield is soooo weak, it can’t block Mei’s beam, or Sym’s, or Zarya’s primary. And it breaks in like 4 seconds of air hitting it!

Ignore that it can block Bastion, Hog’s ult, and High Noon all at once. That Dva has mobility to rush to a slept target and make them virtually unkillable. And that most of the heroes who CAN bypass it aren’t exactly topping charts as strong. My narrative at the moment is Dva’s matrix is weak, so any strong point is ignored.

It’s only like 4 seconds. Vs a shield that last as long as the people shooting it. If you are one dps like symmetra rein can block your attack for like 12- 14 seconds to take down a shield with beam. Imagine that. VS d.va Sym can do damage while it’s up but she can choose to boost away. D.Va has to be close to you, therefore having her max hitbox to do max damage. Meanwhile other tanks don’t need to be max hitbox to do max damage or safe damage. She’s dive because she needs to go in and burst and go out. Or go in soak a bunch of damage and then outmanuever and dip out. Not to mention her beam is only a short range in front of her, a shield like rein’s is block 180% angles all damage besides close range melee, which the offender has to be close, which he can one shot with dps with charge.

No it got the nerf it needed the issue is that D.va has received several buffs within the span of a year and on top of that got the tank role buffs.

Oh, come on OP! Defense Matrix is not so powerful that it made you forget the “w” in “two.”

Grade school grammar refresher:

  • Two = “Also”
  • To = I’m feeling American (and/or lazy)
  • Too = I’m feeling British (and/or snobbish)

Also:

  • D.Va = #1 Overwatch girl
  • Dva = Russian for “2.”

Therefore,
“Dvas” = “2s”, as in:

  • “2 seconds”
    – or –
  • “2s complement”, a boolean math trick we use in computer science and engineering where negative integer binary numbers are represented without having two zero states (something that happens in 1s complement). This is accomplished by taking a positive binary number (most significant bit being represented by 0), inverting all the bits, and adding one (to the least significant bit). It’s what it always has been. The issue with dva in the still recent armor change that makes her too tanky on top of the matrix.
