My daughter has me sitting through GOT this week and I couldn’t help notice the throne-room floor is almost the same as the floor in colloseo spawn (I know it’s sad when you watch something and overwatch springs to mind, but that’s the way it is).
Apart from the side bars on 1 pattern of tile, the floors are pretty much identical. I wonder if this is intentional or if someone at Blizzard slyly stole the GOT floor design.

King’s landing takes inspiration from Mediterranean cities that actually exist irl. such as Rome. Which is where the colloseo map is located.

I hope he finally gets the last 2 damn books out. First few seasons of the show were good, but the books are amazing.
I watched the new series last week - daughter again - and now because I am ignorant I have to watch GOT to catch up so I stop asking so many questions in season 2!
Anyway, the 1st season of GOT seems quite slow compared to the new series (forget its name - something with dragons), but still very good. Might depend which you watch first I guess.
