Do you think Chipsa is the best of all in overwatch? He is repeatedly the top 1 dps, and his ability is so recognized, that he was recruited to the OWL without a long process or participation in other tournaments.
When he plays, the only strategy of the enemy team is to try to counter Chipsa, in a 6vs1, but Chipsa is almost always victorious. Even Jayne hate him withouth reason. What do you think?

by that logic soon is the best player.
is he a good overwatch player? yes, sure, no questions asked, his rank makes that clear.
but is he a good teammate? only time will tell.
Overwatch is more than just your skill and in OWL communication is equally important.
from what i now, Chipsa is rage machine and ok, maybe it’s for the views and content, but if he gets any playtime this season, his team will confirm through their mood on stage and wins with him if he is a good teammate.

according to some stuff he is a nice person outside of stream (totally the opposite of what he is there and its even shown sometimes when a family member or his gf is near him) so yeah i think he is a great teammate.
Kinda funny because he says he isn’t fake on stream. I did lightly call him out on it but was ignored. Being nice irl and acting different on stream is clearly being fake but whatever. I say that as an occasional Chipsa viewer that doesn’t harass him or anything.
Dude even XQC is different outside of streams. Multiple people reported that he is super chill when playing offstream OW or the ppl that hang out with him irl.
Yeah that’s fine, but saying “I’m not fake, I’m genuine” but acting different when off stream is pretty bunk. Not a big deal.
All I know is that he’s the most unlucky player in the world.
My favorite Valiant games were the ones with Soon in them.

Is he one of the best, if not The Best, Doomfist player? Sure, I can agree to that.
But #1 player ever? No.
I honestly think it’s way more impressive to have a hero pool, not be a one-trick at the highest level.
I wouldn’t even know who to peg as #1 in the world. I think that’s a moving goal post and would be really hard to definitively say who is the best.

Genji, Mei, Hanzo, his McCree is actually not bad mechanically at least, never seen him play it in a match though.
Depends on what you define best player to mean.
If you were to ask if he’s the best player in the OWL (he hasn’t played yet but you get the point) then the answer is no.
If you’re talking about lader then theirs a possibility. But theres also a factor of if you reach rank one only on Doom. But another guy reaches rank 5 on every hero.
Who is then technically better?
