Tracer is kinda in a rough spot and it’s become clear that the game isn’t well balanced for a 150 health hero (she gets one-shot or two shot by a ton of heroes).
Tracer is the mascot of the game and encourages Dive, which has been MIA for over a year. Maybe we could try buffing her health to 175 and see how that helps her out?

I think giving her a bit of armor, like 25 of her health, is the best option. It would just prevent some of the accidental deaths. But Tracer will not get a buff.

Tracer doesn’t need buffed. Everyone else needs nerfed and rebalanced a bit.

Nope cause all the support mains would cry about it if a flanker that is somewhat fun gets buffed. Example genji

With Tracer in a bad spot we just need Widow, Hanzo, and Genji to follow. Make Widow and Hanzo 150HP and make Genji 125HP.

Brig was designed to be a Tracer hard counter, because of how strong Tracer was at the time Brig was introduced.
Brig, to have the tracer counter combo, ended up causing 3/3 which dominated the meta for 1.5 years
3/3 dominated for so long Blizzard had no choice but to introduce Role Lock
So strong, dive-empowering Tracer is the cause of all the major meta changes over the last 2 years.
Be careful of what you wish for.

I’m not buffing Tracer’s damage or anything. I’m just trying to help reduce the amount of times she gets picked randomly because of her low health pool.
You mean, “the developers might screw that up”.
Don’t put the blame on players wanting heroes to be viable.
Armor would be useful against some of the things that kill her at 150… but honestly I’d rather have shields. I find that a lot of time is spent wasted on using mobility to get to healthpacks and waiting

Not sure if this is a serious thread, but Tracer is just fine. An unfavorable meta doesn’t mean she is useless.
Increasing her hp would have to come with a pretty serious corresponding change to another area of her kit, like increasing her mobility cooldowns, reducing damage, or slowing ult charge.

Naw flankers are THE LAST ones that need any buffs, they are the worst designed heroes in this game, high mobility, low risk/high reward, lil counter play. Its fine that they aren’t meta, characters like them SHOULD NEVER be meta with how strong they are they should always remain situational.

I hate playing against flankers as much as the next guy, but I do think the concept of flankers is a necessary evil. There’s so much that can be brought to bear in a frontline that the only way to take it apart is from the inside out.
The problem is that most of the flankers we already have too much control over a match (in the hands of a good player).
The “reward” flankers (and snipers) can get out of their risk/reward ratio is disproportionately higher than any other kind of hero in the game… and whenever they get anywhere near having a counter that can force them to swap, all the flanker/sniper players have to do is bawl until the devs nerf it.

i think nerfing damage and healing would be a better idea.

I wonder how can I say “hell no” in other languages.
Be Jeff already.

And this is why I wish Brig was better, imagine 225 hp Tracers teleporting around, try dueling that as Zen lol.
That’s kind of the idea. And it’s not like Tracer is an easy target to hit, and doesn’t have the tools to avoid areas of spam damage.
I don’t think Tracer’s weak enough that she really needs buffs at this point. She’s okay for chaotic/divey scenarios. The main problem is that Doomfist is just plain better at everything, and Genji has the vertical mobility to work better with him for full dive comps, so there’s no reason to bother with Tracer.
Even if she were to get buffs, I seriously doubt they would mess with her HP, as so many damage numbers in Overwatch are specifically chosen to avoid one-shotting her too easily.
Brigitte’s maybe weaker overall now, but she’s definitely better than ever at that kind of stuff. I’ve played D.va, gotten demeched, and successfully continued tanking for the team as Baby D.va because Brigitte wouldn’t let me die.
Here’s the thing… she dies to random spam damage so she’s too unreliable to use.
Your god-tracer dodged a flashbang, hanzo shot and a sleep dart all in less than a span of 1 second
gets headshot by icicle 0.2 seconds later

Not in 222.
Random spam damage is avoidable. And you can’t say that the Mei wasn’t aiming at the Tracer to begin with.
Tracer does not need any more buffs.
