Is anyone else having 20 minute que times as groups?

As a group of 5 we are waiting 15-20 minute que times for quick play matches. We are all selected for any role. We have never had a que time last more than 5 minutes until within the last couple weeks and I’m not sure what changed?

Yup…for the last week or so.

I don’t feel bad for groups of 5 with long queue times. It should be looking for similar groups of 5. Probably not that many queuing.

Can I ask how you managed to get into a group?

I try all day to find another human. Jumped around discord channels, offered “stay as team” in every mode, etc. Without an LFG or some pre-existing superfriends like the content club, it just doesn’t seem viable.

You must be in some hyper minority of gamers who manage a five.

Yup, this is normal. In my 4 stack or 5 stacks we wait for at least 10 minutes.

Just play customs games in the meantime. Time goes by fast especially if you find a fun one.

do you have a set of regulars that you play with? or is it just “we met last match” kind of stack?

because no1 i kno puts up with 10min waits in a custom,
only to go into a rigged match of superfriends vs. superfriends.
1 loss and that stack is byebye

Play mercy. Just kidding :joy:

I recommend just branching out and it may require going outside your comfort zone.

I claimed a lot of my friends simply by running into them on numerous matches or having fun chat banter. I always just send a friend request if I like their attitude or play style. Sometimes I’ll even send a message- letting them know I liked our synergy or they are a great player on xyz hero.

Once they are my friend, if I see them online, I message them and ask if they want to play a few matches. Friendship usually grows from there.

I don’t hesitate to mic up and just have fun. People always want to play if you bring the fun.

There are a few discords out there where you can find a group too.

Well I have like 4500 hours played over 8 accounts with 60+ golden guns across the ranks. This game was my whole life for several years. I feel like I have branched out, but as a soloqueue lonewolf I guess I never made/kept anyone regular enough to stack with.

Yes, ive had this off and on since s3 started.

I have regulars. I’m a veteran on overwatch.

My bf plays. Two of my good friends play: Fox and Umbra. Those are my core group. I’m apart of council of the winky faves discord and can play with people there. Played with two members last night.

Sometimes I make new friends. Making friends for me isn’t hard. I’m not shy on mic and generally just look to have a good time.

Oh another thing- I always made the best friends in causal modes. Only long time friend I made in comp is NYgiants and has an ungodly amount of junkrat hours. You find people with better attitudes there. People only want friends in comp if they feel they can pull their weight then that’s where the line stops.

Sad because there’s so much potential growth. You also play better with people you know their play styles.

There has got to be something in-between ai.hard and bronze5 in terms of difficulty.

I introduce players to this game and they afk spawncamp the bots, but then they try the lowest possible ranking of all players to ever install, and never get to leave spawn.

Until that is fixed the game will be fake.

As long as its not just me having this be a newer problem!

See I miss the lines that connected between hero icons that signified a team that of 6. Because when you beat them you gain the confidence that it doesn’t matter sometimes. You can beat a five stack with randos and no communication.

We’re all family so were not playing hardcore or anything, just hanging out! But the que times make playing overwatch hard :frowning:

Lol Hard AI can be scary actually.

The Ana never misses sleeps and they always group up and run together like a scary stampede of Elephants.

But I agree and have said for the longest time Overwatch stinks in terms of teaching people. The YouTube guides teach you way better than the game descriptions.

Even the tutorial is a joke. It gives you the crap basics in Solider and that’s it :joy:. The game literally gives you one measly swimming lesson and then tells you to do the butterfly stroke in the middle of the ocean in a storm.

I had hoped that coming into Overwatch2 they would make a tutorial for each hero… but alas too much to expect from an Indie company.

They hid the stacks, they hid the portraits, they hid the ranks, they hid SSR…

Doesn’t take a genius to know they are being dishonest. I personally think there’s not a lot of people playing Overwatch2. The numbers are being deceptive or lied about.

Even in Overwatch1 in 6 stacks I had faster queue times than I do now.

I 2 stack all the time. 3 stack a lot, 5 stack sometimes.

Basically I play with different people for different things.

The common thing is though that I like the people I play with. If people add me because I played well, I’ll generally ignore but I will always add people as friends if we have a laugh in game (even if we lose).

The person I duo with is the closest I am to in skill level so we climb together.

The rest I normally play just for fun but you can’t expect everyone to be as into the game as you are so enjoying the matches is secondary to enjoying their company.

Do you tell everyone the game is rigged when you are in voice too?

For the queue times - yeah groups much higher queue times than OW1. Not sure if they addressed this already.

Really? 14 minute dps queues I quickplay was last I remember.

Look it’s nice knowing you can beat a 5 stack. Half the time for a majority a five stack can actually be a weakness. Either they’re not serious or not good at working together.

I can be, but I watch 11 y.o. first-time gamers stomp the ai.hard into spawn.

Then they queue for QP and never leave spawn.

Aaron has got to go!

In 6 stacking in Overwatch1 near the end. I remember the queues being 6-7 minutes. Not lying and not joking…

RBbirdman
LTpancake
KingRolfz
Wickerman406
Fox
And me

We’d play at least 3 nights a week too. :woman_shrugging: Crossplay - as Fox and I are on console.

Maybe it’s a difference in the region - you NA right?
