Is anyone else excited to never play PvP ever again?

I’ve actually been thinking about dropping ow until pve comes out. I really, really love this game, but I don’t like 5v5 as it is so far and it feels to me like a waste of dev time.

We’ve been waiting years for this pvp update and I hate that I’m disappointed. I picked up apex a while ago and almost felt embarassed for overwatch, seeing how much apex has grown in the span of overwatch’s decline. Even dead by daylight, which was like 45 people in a storage shed for the first 2-3 years of it’s life, didn’t have to abandon it’s game for years just to try and fix it.

Idk. Ow1 has been my favorite game since it launched and I hate that that might change. Praying the future beta’s have something I like.

Because unlike PvP, in PvE you can balance bots and players separately.

I am looking foward for the cinematics, story and cutscene, but if the PvE works like Archives I wont be playing more than like twice the same mission.

I really dont enjoy doing PvE with “iconic” characters, because there are only a few customization options no matter what they do. And I hope it doesnt become a Marvel Hero Omega or Dc Universe Online Legends PvE thing, in which you just spam abilities.

Its still more to balance, though, which takes more time and brain power to do. If anything, the “balance players and bots separately” thing would mean PVP would be easier since you don’t have to worry about the bots right now.

No, PvP would be harder. Because bots can not complain about unfair games. And you always balance both teams at the same time, which can easily backfire.

Difficulty in balance has nothing to do with bots complaining. You could make the most balanced games, and people would still complain. Does that mean you balanced it wrong?

Meanwhile, if you made a single player game that’s supposed to be a stealth game where you’re supposed to be sneaking behind walls, yet you can get away with running past all of the enemies at full speed, that’s an objectively unbalanced game. No complaints required.

I hear you my brother! Desperately looking forward to PVE.

Would love to hear your thoughts:

PvE is where things matter a lot as well. There’s still a Meta, there’s going to be Min-Maxing, there’s going to be still a tier list of whose best to play etc etc

Not really.
Blizzard managed to ruin a game for me I loved for years (WOW).
I also never had much fun with PVE modes in Overwatch again, after I finished them for a first time. Let´s see, if there is any chance this would be different…
