Here are the facts that make me ask.
-No accessibility to sniper areas
-Weak durability in close combat
-No healing if her team doesn’t remember where she is set up, on top of aim being the expected main caveat.
-No self ult even though she performs low in deathmatch where she can.
-Dodgeable slow projectiles at long range (which is where snipers allegedly flourish.
positioning?
teamwork? (eg, lucio and mei repositioning you)
practice? (aim and teamfight skills)
managing cooldowns?
I think Ana’s really good, especially now.
She’s just really difficult to play.

But how often do we get teamwork in matchmaking? And what’s that mean for
heroes like Ana who rely on positioning, or Mercy who have to take it where it’s dealt?
She has arguably the best ability in the game, anti-nade.

I challenge that though. It has a tracker. And with her being so sluggish she can’t quickly reposition if charged. She seems frail
Nah, what she loses in survivability she makes up for in offensive utility locked behind a skill cap. The trade off is incredibly strong, assuming the player can use it properly.
On a more global note you just highlighted her weaknesses that other healers don’t have (mobility and self heal are the most important imo) but she has the best ability in the game with the grenade and the longest CC as well a the biggest range of all the healers with a strong hps and decent DPS, she can’t have it all
For me she seems fine as it is, I actually would mind a decrease of hp given from nanoboost (to 150/200)

The skill gap is really high for something you can imitate on a Brigitte Moira or Lucio
the thing is you cant imitate it, which is why ana’s most picked in gm.

After aboot two hunnerd hours on A na,
I like where she is in performance and meta, with arguably the best E ability in game, big burst heals, and adequately significant drawbacks to compensate.
That said, I would be delighted if she had a rocket walker with catherine-wheels for mobility.

Literally the longest CC in the game at 5.5 seconds and the ability to anti heal. With 200 hp burst potential.

Could you not stun on Brigitte? Or DPS on Zen to mitigate healing? They are used at gm too and do perfectly fine. Are you saying she’s a must pick? Because that’s caused by unimitatable output
Who come with their own strengths and weakness with much less reward to them at skill cap. Well except maybe Fragyatta in the hands of jjonak.
also no, her must pick status has more to do with the other two main healers just being terrible in high elo, that’s an entirely different topic though.

I agree that she’s vulnerable while scoping especially to Widows but without snipers and decent positioning you can scope safely for a few seconds. And that’s why quickscope is a thing
Uuuuh I think that’s a little less provable and kind of slides of into proving something to prove that you can prove something. Ana is far weaker than most healers though, what makes her survivability easy or better?
