Is 50% acc on solider good?

Is it any good? What do yall think?

I’m no authority on accuracy, but I know that chasing accuracy stats alone can be misleading.

Shooting only tanks with 100% accuracy without killing anything may not be as effective as shooting squishies with 30% accuracy, but actually securing key picks to win a fight.

I’d expect someone with more experience than I would probably ask for a replay code to get a better understanding.

That said, as it stands, 50% is better than me.

Well it was a 50% acc on a 222 scenario with most of the kills landed on squishies.

Well then it’s great

Well-better than average, to my limited knowledge, then.

36% acc is the average on soldier, 47% is top 1%. So 50% is very good. Of course, you have to take other criteria into account, such as SR at which you played (low sr players walk in straight lines and generally have bad movement) and headshot accuracy.

I will say 50% acc on S76 on small targets is amazing. It means your getting close to 2sec time to kill which if you get a couple of headshots in there you are slaying people rather quickly.

Having said that the fact your accuracy is that high means your not also spamming enough damage when you could be perhaps. There situations where you should be applying fire to a particular choke point to prevent people from peaking.

Even if your not hitting anything its sending a message to anyone that wants to peak a corner that’s under fire frequently deters people from trying to peak until they have their heals or other units nearby. Though spam damage is a bit stronger on units like Pharah/Junkrat who if people peak the wrong time eat a health amount of damage.

50% is very good, even the pro’s don’t get that but one match doesn’t say a lot. I can’t imagine reaching that without shooting a lot of tanks too or in extremely low MMR where people stand still.

What matters most is average accuracy over a lot of matches, at least it does to me.

Overbuff shows S76 Competitive Accuracy Avg

  • PC - 37%
  • PSN - 37%
  • XBL - 37%

It’s all about speed. That’s always what differentiates one person from the other.

You could have 100% Accuracy. Doesn’t matter if you ain’t acquiring targets rapidly quick enough to count.

While it can be a really good stats, it means you probably didn’t do enough suppressing fire to deny corner peeking, etc.

What’s important as soldier imo is getting better rates of crits.

Yes. I have like 20%. Had 30% before they gave him the weird nerf where his gun goes upwards as you shoot. Makes me miss.

Well, its a buff, a big one. Nowhere a nerf.

No more spread. Can control that upward motion.

How can making his gun go upwards be considered a buff? It’s easier to aim without it. They could’ve removed his spread without adding that weird thing.

I would explain myself but I’m no expert on S76

Average for par is around 40%ish last I checked, which was a few years ago, but Soldier’s gameplay hasn’t really changed at all since then, so I’d say it’s pretty good.

the upwards motion is called recoil for future ref, playa
and it’s a buff after a few hour adjustment period since once you learn to control it, it lets you go full auto with pinpoint accuracy without having downtime barring reloads
just put some time into controlling it in the practice range every day (even 5~10m per session) and you’ll probably see even better accuracy than before
and letting him have what would essentially be a laser without drawbacks in the form of low clip, or range would be beyond busted

It is widely considered a buff because if you can control the recoil, you are full control if your accuracy.

Removing the spread without recoil is would make him completely overpowered.

The spread is considered worse because there is literally nothing you can do about it if you want sustained fire.

S76 has 20 Dmg buff
No Spread. Recoil Buff.
Ultimate now does Max Dmg regardless of distance.

I think S76 might be decent atm
Just a hunch

I guess it’s just me who became worse with him after his buff. But i’ve never been into hitscans much. As long as hitscans mains are happy, that’s good. But if i HAVE to play hitscan, i think i will pick mccree, because i can’t aim with soldier at all.

It means that you have other issues on Soldier beyond accuracy. It means you either have poor target priority or poor positioning which is leading you to having too many deaths or you are simply not shooting enough and are only taking shots you know you can hit. One of those must be true or you would likely be climbing.
