He’s interested in playing because according to him “the game reminds him of ‘Pokemon Unite’ if it was a shooting game” however… I am worried about introducing him to the game. This Pokemon game he plays doesn’t have communication features, it doesn’t have people reporting you if you suck. I don’t wanna tell him not to play the game but… I feel like the way this community is, he might end up getting shouted at or flamed or whatever?
He isn’t a very good friend if you are cursing him by letting him play OW

Just tell him to stay out of the chats 
Keep him in VS AI until he can move around and shoot things then he won’t be any worse than the average player.

I cast another vote in favour of telling him to turn off group and match chats in options, and to make sure he goes nowhere near joining voice chat with randos.
