Not playing with the team, not even trying to play with the comp they’d rather play like it’s QP and im sick of losing SR to this trash.

Im sure they are enjoying the game in discord in a non toxic environment.
Some people dont want to get told what to play or flamed all game esp when they are trying to focus

How is not joining team chat ever the right thing to do?
Had the opposite on Gibraltar where everyone was pushing point and they were away from the teamfight multiple times.
Either way idk how people defend trash behaviour to this day but whatever does it for you im sure?

Right or wrong doesn’t matter.
Team chat is optional for a reason, and a lot of people play better without other people yelling in their ear.
All needed information is available through in game UI, so there really is no argument for team chat making people play better. Unless you have some sort of magical pre existing synergy with 5 random internet people, team chat will be mostly bad coms.
And I would easily take no coms over bad coms any day.
Your assumption and bias that “comms will automatically be bad/toxic” so i won’t bother is your argument and your serious?
Think you’ve experienced too many toxic episodes in comp personally to jump to that conclusion honestly which is a shame.
Not every game is like that comm wise if you need to be reminded perhaps?

me and my friend play on alts and have instalock Symmetra and torb, i have 88% winrate and he has 76%
its so good, we get flamed every game when tho we win lmao
Nope, not all will be bad of course, only a majority from my experience.
Also if you actually read my post, you would have read the part about how some people just play better without coms. This is most of the reason I don’t join coms for a lot of my games.
I guarantee you that if someone isn’t in coms, they aren’t for a reason; and you probably don’t want them in there as it could make them play worse.
The only one jumping to conclusions here is you. Like I said before, I don’t join because I find it hard to focus with people that have no coms synergy yelling in my ear.
By bad coms I never meant that they were toxic. I’m talking about 3 different people yelling what they think the team should be doing, that’s what makes me play worse.
Coming from playing with a team in a scrim/6stack environment, I follow callouts without thinking most of the time. This habit is good when you have a full team with good synergy, so I don’t want to lose it; but it is also very detrimental amid the chaos of a comp game where there is no coms synergy. So my compromise is to not join coms so that I can focus fully on the game without getting distracted from all the constant talking in my ear.
Yeah I get blamed for almost every loss by people like you that assume me not being in VC is throwing; but it doesn’t affect my gameplay so I still play well and climb as much as I would if I were in coms.
Maybe consider how other peoples situation and experience could make them play better without coms before assuming that they will play bad if they are not in chat.

Toxic people are the ones who tell someone to switch, thats it.
I mute a teammate immediately if they start complaining about another player being bad or playing a “wrong” hero etc. I dont care why you are negative, i dont want to listen to this and ruin my gaming experience and my mood.
I solo queue 90% of the time and i dont care that some duo queue want to play certain heroes, they still want to win same as you and they have their own opinion on how to do that. If you think you know better or you are a better player then please climb out of this rank and play with better players who deserve your skill
Yeah, I tried comms in the beginning, but I simply play worse with 'em. For me an ADD riddled brain mixed with anxiety and depression doesn’t jive well with comms. I’m sorry if it ruins the vidya game experience for my teammates, but I do try my best to read the game anyway (and hey, I’m at top 1% on offensive assist as Lucio on the account I’m playing on right now, so I guess I do some good reads and enabling w/o comms, right? Or maybe it means nothing :P)
I do wish I’d function better with comms tho, cuz I know that’s a hole in my gameplay, and I want to be as good as possible. But hey, I also wish I could go to the grocery store without feeling like the panic attack is around the corner, but that’s life!
(And yeah, I know, “boohoo, cry me a river” etc)
(Also, I’m sure there’s many cases were people don’t join vc to be a-holes who just wanna play CoD without their team)
Not joining Team chat is like 90% always the right thing to do, although maybe not at your level. On the other hand, from what I’ve seen and heard, the toxicity increases as you go up in rank, so…I’m also kind of not at all surprised people don’t join chat in platinum or diamond, or masters, whatever you are in. It’s strange, because you probably have to talk at your rank, and yet, who would want to?
This is just another reason I have no interest in whatever is going on at high ranks. Good luck with avoiding this to you, OP. No snarkiness there.

Lets be honest here, people play League at a high level without the use of a microphone and nobody bats an eye.
The problem isn’t no communication, it’s blizzys poor implementation of a ping system.
Great, I need healing, Group up or Defend the object. GARBAGE
No offense but thats just stupid. If a Gengu is metaphorically bashing his head against a brick wall over and over trying to find value against a Mei/Brig/Hog comp, its pretty expected hes going to be asked to switch. Muting and blaming the guy with common sense on your team doesn’t help deal with the hyperfeeding Gengu in this situation.
Honestly, playing without being in voice chat is a different game.

You play, no one says anything, you enjoy yourself, win or lose you genuinely have a good experience if you have a good mindset/attitude.
When i join voicechat, there is always that looming possibility of someone tilting and saying “Ugh, why don’t we have [hero] when enemy has [hero]???” “Ugh, this player isn’t healing on [hero], switch off or you’re throwing” “Ugh, this Mercy used her pistol when nobody needed healing, thrower”
I guess it’s different for people who don’t have social anxiety, but for me, it is truly a different game.

There are also 5 other slots on your team and one of them is you.
Is it possible to pick a hero to help your genji out? Maybe get a zarya to bubble him or zen to pocket him or something else to occupy his counters with?
I do agree with you that it is not the smartest thing to keep dying to 5 counters to your hero, but i do think this game has so many ways to play, so many combos and strategies that telling someone to switch, because ypu think it is better is not needed and is pretty toxic in my opinion. That genji is already feeling bad for dying and not getting value, being negative towards him is just going to tilt him and make him give up.
It literally states that not switching a hero is not reportable, being toxic though is.
Different question if they maintain the same rank as you by not joining voice and playing what they like, how are you not ranking up then… oh wait you will claim these people are only always on your team

The match maker has natuarally created all this toxicity and is splitting the game apart when the whole focus should be on team work.
No one even joins coms. Its the design thats bringing out the toxic community.

Team work?
The people on your team aren’t allies, they’re competition for the DPS slot you want to play in.
EDIT: They also are your competition for gold medals, POTG and PBSR. I mean, did you really win if you finished with silver elims and no 5k ult potg?
