I was trying to make one of my placement matches today, only minutes ago from loading the forums actually.
Upon making the attempt, it did the usual “arriving at (insert name here)” but then held on that screen for far longer than normal, but my chat box opened, and I was left confused, so tried to ask my team-mates if anyone else was having it. Nobody was, and seemed to comment that “Your stuck” and the usual “Oh god damnit, what now” sort of things.
So, noting that it wasn’t actually progressing, I tried exiting overwatch so I could re-load and reconnect, but due to it constantly opening and closing the in game “esc” menu, it wasn’t letting me exit to the main page, so I had to close overwatch entirely.
Upon returning in, I couldn’t reconnect, and was indeed suspended 10 minutes, for simply trying to fix the problem. I can understand if I had rage quit or something, but while I am fairly certain this is going to count as a failed game on my placements, I can deal with it, but this could be a much worse issue if it persists into the actual season for me, if I get counted as a loss, because the game wouldn’t actually load me in, and left me stuck on the screen.
