Infinite abilities in custom games (idea)?

There should be an option to enable infinite abilities in custom games. Like infinite ults, but with things like deflect. You’d press it once and it’d go on forever without needing to press the button again. Such as D.Va’s boosters, Genji’s Deflect, Hanzo’s storm arrow, Mei’s ice wall and cryofreeze, Torbjörn’s overload, Roadhog’s Take a breather, Reaper’s wraith form, Sigma’s Kinetic grasp, Soldier: 76’s biotic field, Winston’s barrier, Wrecking Ball’s shields, and Zarya’s bubbles.

The reason why many abilities don’t remain “persistant” in the game environment is to ensure that the overall server load remains under control. From a gameplay standpoint, I don’t see how that could make a very playable game of Overwatch (nor a very chaotic one like that of Total Mayhem mode). And before anyone asks, no something like this can’t be created in the Workshop (you can manipulate cooldowns to reset instantly though).

I mean, have you seen D.Va Egg games? People jump off the cliffs at the ends of rounds and it rapidly switches their hero. I’ve crashed several times from that.

I’ve seen manyworkshop modes that are usualy titled “500%”, “infinite ult” or basicaly the insta ult, zero cooldown, infinite ammo yadda yadda stuff… and they ALWAYS crash the match. Especialy high noon.

Yes servers crashing, thats exactly what NOT to do.

lol those 500% modes are horrifying especially when you see a moira spamming damage balls with 0 cooldown
