Incredibly simple Anna but that (IMO) would balance the supports

Let Anna’s bio grenade prevent Mercie’s rez as well as healing. Or you could add that functionality to Anna’s sleep dart, for a certain amount of time after being hit with the sleep dart a character can’t be rez-ed even if they’re not killed while asleep. There’s even the nanite lore you could use. This way a skilled Anna can shut down an Mercy’s ability to rez, while a good Mercy can work around it.

Actually, I’m liking the sleep-dart idea more and more instead of the grenade sense both abilities are single target with a decent cool down.

That doesn’t fix:
-Ana’s lack of survivability.
-Mercy being the only consistent healer (RIP Moira healing through barriers)
-Lucio becoming a victim of power creep.
-Brigitte’s ridiculous skill to reward ratio.

Ana needs buffs, Lucio needs buffs, and Brig needs small nerfs. Ana needs some sort of survivability, Lucio needs to be on the same level as Zen, and Moira needs to be able to heal through shields.

Ohhh there’s still problems with all the heroes in some form or another and I agree with all of your points. The reason I think that this single change would balance the playing field a bit is because Mercy is the only character with a mini ult on a short cool down. Her rez makes her almost mandatory, while the consistency of her healing simply makes her preferred not mandatory.

I mean, there are already 16 abilities that can cancel rez… Ana probably won’t have it ready for that use anyway since she just used it to heal herself, and if she did she wouldn’t have it ready to use in the coming team-fight.

The nade doesn’t need to get better, Ana needs to become better. Adding this would just be another slightly frustrating element to rez without actually really affecting Mercy’s place in the meta at all.

I agree with you on the grenade, I thought it was a good idea at first, and then remembered how wide the AOE of it is and how easy it would be to just prevent anyone from being rezzed for a brief period of time. It’s better for the debuff to be linked to the sleep-dart instead.

As for canceling rez, that’s not what I’m talking about. Anyone skilled enough and at the right place can prevent a rez if the other team is sleeping. I’m talking about a debuff where that character Can’t be rez-ed until the debuff has passed.

That is not going to help Ana at all.

I think she needs:

Residual healing (similar to Moira).

Whenever she hits a target, everyone in a small radius ( 8m or so) will receive 20% of that shots healing. That’s what? 11 health? About the same as Brigitte’s self healing. About the same radius as grenade.

Should bring her up to Mercy/Moira healing (since she is a main healer). She’s falling short even in grandmaster rn.

Lastly, just give her the same self healing for every shot she lands on a friendly target
