Increase avoid slots, that is all.
Not until they get rid of role queue, that is all.
Im not seeing how these two things are connected
I AGREE.
I usually come across toxic players in groups of 3s or 5s. I’d like “AVOID THIS PLAYER” back.
About a week ago, I put 3 players on avoid after VERY RACIAL and VERY VERY hateful comments. Then 2 games later. They are on the OPPOSITE team, and still going at it in Match chat.
RIP.
The matchmaking. The more players avoided, the longer the queue times. That is a price I am not willing to pay and so far, seems the devs agree.
Yes same, for me I have this same 3 stack harassing me around the same time sometimes in the evening, they recognise my name and if they win they will speak so much horrible things to me and say “THANKS FOR THE FREE SR UR TRASH”
It was all because I would not be a meta slave, and they are salty about it >:)
Yeah, those people called me the ":N word" multiple times.
They were accusing me of throwing because I wouldn’t pick what they wanted for their stack.
IMO, if they want people to what they want. They can act CIVIL and form a 6-stack if they want it. their way.
I use to lobby-dodge team stacks all the time back before they got rid of the portrait brackets for groups. I generally knew better to stay OUT of those groups. Because they have to be reported by MULTIPLE people during that match. Before they are reprimanded.
my avoid slots are still empty
Usually don’t do voice chat most of the time and ignore chat and just do my job (soon will be major zoom zoom as D’Va)
Yeah lemme get 4 or 5 slots.
On Xbox there is so much dead weight and any suspensions can be bypassed by simply logging into another alt.
I’m so sick of seeing diamond Torbs hammering the payload and throwing turrets in its path when I solo q during off peak hours.
I agree that we should have more avoid slots, but unfortunately that’s unlikely to happen. The system appears to have been designed primarily with the high end of play in mind, where too many avoid slots could easily increase queue times there. The low to mid end of play, as usual, hasn’t appeared to really been factored in.
Yes i totally agree! They need to give us more slots to avoid people.
I’ve had so many games in one day where more than 3 has been toxic towards me or my teammates.
It’s really annoying and should totally be looked at
This. Very much this. Bring back the original avoid this player. If you get 30 minute queue times for being Widow, try being less cancerous.
bump
eefeefefefefefefe oo
Chain of order, OP.
Fix the DPS queue times, THEN fix private profiles, avoid amounts etc.
Remember that some crazy souls out there wait 20 minutes to play a game against Mei Hanzo. It’s crazy
As much as I would like this, they literally destroyed the “fairness” of matches, increasing the gap in SR to make queues shorter.
This would be a change in the opposite direction.
Then … don’t avoid people??? ![]()
Queue stuff is a giant order of things to work out…avoid slots would literally take 23 seconds for one programmer to go in and change an integer value in a line of code (okay it might be more complicated than that but you get my point lol)
Im curious what do you mean by fix private profiles? Make them all public for everyone?
While on the subject I kinda want a single special “avoid as enemy” slot for those insane god perma-pocketed top500 dps who you have no hope of winning against when you come across them
That is true, but remember your own queue times, and other people’s. If they avoid a tank, they may queue for 8 minutes longer than usual in some ranks. I’ve had this happen sadly…
This was a discussion on the forums some weeks ago, where a vast quantity of people talked about making profiles have more user interaction. IE players could detail their preferred heroes etc, but remove their winrates or hours from people’s eyes.
If only…
Um… If anyone avoids anyone the problem exists. That is why we are limited???

I actually think it would be totally fine if when you avoid a 4th person, the one you avoided first will be automatically deleted
Happens quite often that I avoided someone yesterday and want to avoid someone today so I have to manually undo the avoid from yesterday just to avoid the other guy from today. If that makes sense
