Inconsistent framerate

For some reason my frames recently jump around a lot. I’d go from 70, to 30, to 50, to 15 FPS and it’s really annoying and prevents me from playing properly and/or enjoying the game.

I tried lowering my settings, and it caused the highs to be higher (around 100 FPS) but also the lows to be lower (single-digit).

Oh and sometimes I would be stuck on a single frame for multiple seconds.

I noticed that sharp motions (consistent walking, jumps, sharp mouse moves, etc.) are some of the things that trigger it. But I can’t play without doing these things.

Is there any way to prevent these framerate jumps?
(At this point I wouldn’t even mind having relatively low framerate, as long as it’s consistent.)

Can you add a dxdiag?

DxDiag instructions (click to expand/collapse)
  1. Press Windows Key + R, then type DxDiag and press Enter.
  2. In the DxDiag window, click Save All Information.
  3. Name the file “dxdiag” and click Save.

To add it to your reply here:

  1. Open the text file and copy all of the text.
  2. Paste the text in your reply.
  3. Highlight the pasted text and click </> on the post editor.

If your DxDiag does not fit in one message, you can post it on Pastebin.com and provide the hash code (the numbers/letters after the .com) in your reply.

There are a lot of errors, and I think something has happened to your copy of Windows. It could be the result of this app: Service_KMS.exe

I don’t know if it’s a trojan or a keygen, but you should look into removing it and repairing Windows.

I looked it up on multiple websites, and the overall consensus is that it’s not bad for my computer…
Is there anything else I can do?

I personally don’t know much about troubleshooting all those errors you’re getting on Windows 8, because it’s from 6 years ago (before I started helping on this forum). You might open a ticket with the staff for further troubleshooting.
