In the mood for achievement hunting

For a pretty long while now, my achievement completion for Overwatch on Steam has been sitting at 162/164. The 2 achievements I’m missing are:

  • Sojourn’s Taking Charge
  • Baptiste’s Window of Opportunity

I’ve tried to get both of these many times in the past, the Baptiste one especially, pretty much ever since he got added to the game back in 2019. And now once again, I’m in the mood to try and get both of these in order to finally “100% Overwatch”.

Unfortunately for me, I have a pretty severe case of skill-issue, and my aim is probably worse than anyone else’s (yes, even worse than that guy’s), but if you’ve got any tips or advice besides “just aim better”, I’m all ears.

Also kinda curious what everyone else’s achievement completion is like, and if there’s any particular one you’ve struggled to unlock (besides the Archives ones that is, since they’re literally impossible to unlock now :/).

Anyway, thanks for stopping by, good luck with whatever achievements you may be trying to unlock, and I hope you have a lovely rest of your day :brown_heart:

The only advice I can give for Bap’s is… don’t die. Play as cowardly as you need to while you pad stats to ramp up your ult charge ASAP and pop out IMAXs as soon as you get ‘em.

Avoid KotH because I’m 32.345% sure that this achievement’s progress resets between rounds. In other words, you’re not going to get it without divine intervention here.

Good luck!

I have no idea who you are talking about, but Qrow hit top 500 with the worst aim I have ever seen proving that the content creators totally weren’t pulling our legs. It legit don’t matter none, babycakes.

Anyways, that Baptiste one basically needs to be in 6v6 with tanks who are measured feeders. I would focus on the Sojourn one for now and pop your ultimate when other people pop which is totally bad advice to win. But you might be able to steal their final blows or take advantage of the abilities they bait with pure unadultered greed. Do not be afraid to get all up in they business. If that overcharge perk exists, just fish for bodyshots on who your teammates are targeting. In other words, do not be Lui Kang. Be Kano.

Good luck and remember to think twice before bathing!

This made me want to play Gex for some reason.

If you have friends, Nanoboost Pharah Widow ult twice (or something like that).

I’m like 95% sure it works like that.

They honestly should just change #s for Bap’s though to make it easier.

Yeah, Bap’s is basically impossible and relies a lot on luck really. You need to not die at all, so playing safe is required, the stats needed for the cheevo are absurdly high so playing aggressively is required, changing rounds resets progress so you can’t lose, but also changing rounds resets progress so you can’t win either

Super safety, crazy aggression, but don’t do well, but also don’t not do well. Bad achievement lol

I’ve been missing the platinum Playstation trophy by one achievement for years…Junk’s quad tire kill. I rarely played him in early days, and it’s basically impossible now in 5v5 with all the mitigation and immortality abilities.

I hate Taking Charge so much. To require a quad kill is one thing, but to have it be the killing blow is another. It should have been a triple kill as that is what I have mostly seen people get with it.
