Prior to the AMA on Reddit, Blizzard gave notice to this forum about the AMA in Reddit, and directed us to that site. Next, when the AMA was concluded, Wyoming Myst an easy-to-read formatted version and posted it on this forum as well, and here is the link – July 30th Overwatch Reddit AMA - All developer responses here!
It is obvious to me that Blizzard is doing all it can to establish relationships with streamers, content creators, even other forums like Reddit. Blizzard has been visible to the public more this past week as compared to the past couple of months, and that’s a good thing.
I honestly think they NEED this, they have been trying to work with game journalists and their outlets, and it hasn’t been working – their efforts to try to connect to the grassroots player base through this Blizzard forum, Reddit, and some nice streamers is refreshing (I prefer the likes of Fran and Emongg, not the man-child streamers which has been popping up in threads here lately).
It’s the man-child streamers ridiculing posts here that is lowering the “street cred” of Blizzard forums among the 12-year old wannabe juveniles, and if it means I hang out with less gangsta wannabes here and with more nicer kids, I’m all for it .
