In the AMA, it's confirmed that Blizzard ignores the forums

Not only by the fact that the AMA itself wasn’t actually on the forums, but by the following interaction.

In other words, if you want to offer feedback, you have to do it through reddit.

Yeah, since people on the forums don’t want to give actual constructive ideas and would rather complain like they’re some toddlers that barely got out of preschool. No seriously, the balance ideas I’ve heard on Reddit are vastly different and better, in every aspect. It’s important though to listen to people on the forums, since they’re also bright minds here.

OW fourm is players letting out their frustration and anger in their inability to play the game.

Reddit is a place people actually like the game and offer good ideas and feedback.

They also said that they read the forums and especially like to read skin ideas (in the past. Here and on youtube).

Moreover, when someone suggested 1-3-2, we got a reply that such a experimental mode is coming.

jumping to conclusions. saying they read the sub reddit is not the same as saying they ignore the forums. they can easily do both. its alot easier to do an AMA on reddit because the good questions rise to the top.

When you look at the forums can you honestly blame them for acting like they don’t exist?

I mean look at how many ppl want Sym as a support because they aint very good at player her as a dps.

You realise they did the AMA to celebrate the subreddit getting 3 million members, right?

They probably assumed the question was referring to suggestions on reddit (Not at all a stretch considering the question was asked on reddit)

If it was constructive and pointed out “Well Genji’s kit in my opinion was overtuned for this set of reasons…” sure, that’s great and it makes sense. Completely justified. I just see it much less on reddit than the forums, maybe because the forums are more easily accessible? I couldn’t tell you.
