I dont think a hypermobile tank should be able to oneshot.
Especially 5v5 doom.
6v6 doom blows up when out of position and focused.
5v5 doom is just unkillable unless you go full counter.
Regardless i think his oneshot isnt healthy for the game and also his charged punch hitbox is just too big.
Oneshots and burst damage in general is just not fun to play into.
I am saying he’s more annoying to fight now as a tank vs ow1. Where he didn’t have an aoe.
Idk just frustrated at times by how so many characters have been reworked to be more annoying and harder to kill in exchange for being worse at killing.
I mean fair enough but it would be nice if he could have anything else other than AOE punch.
That and his block can just be ugh to fight.
Granted when I stop one tricking Reinhardt, orisa is surprisingly not terrible into him.
Many people who like Overwatch do not like Valorant and CS:GO. The two styles are completely different. Those games are slow with spikes of action and something happening with fast kills. While Overwatch is littered with fast action of ebbing and flowing.
Getting kills is a longer process you work through as a combination of numbers and positional choices with constant action. With moments happening due to either team work in focus fire or individual mistakes.
@charade I agree with you. Only very, very few heroes should have the option of a one-shot, like Widow. She was simply designed that way, as a sniper. But she’s also very easy to counter and dodge if you have at least two brain cells left.
Loud grunting man I can react to vs. silent cross the map sniper I have to proactively avoid.
I mean sure, but even though I finally get 6v6 and to have fun, it is annoying how much of this game has become characters just not dying because of all the buttons you can retroactively press to avoid death.
At a certain level, cooldowns are your healthbar because you are never going to die while you have them.
People can just react to everything.
The thing is she kills my team from across the map.
And is the only hero that kill you instantly if you don’t think about her.
I need to be aware of where the widow is the moment I walk out of spawn or I might just instantly die to her.
She can be dead silent with no telegraph. No sound, no visual indicator. She’s nowhere near you even.
And then suddenly half your team is dead right before you jump on her and she just grapples away because I unlike doom she doesn’t use her cooldowns to kill things so she can just run away.
Doom has to loudly grunt across the map until he is near enough to either start charging punch, or do the slam uppercut combo.
Meaning I can just move away from the away he’s about to assault as opposed to being terrified of walking around every Conor until someone has scouted the widow.
You can figure out where she is. She can only fire every few seconds; it’s not like she has a sniper Gatling gun. Then your team will have to react and take appropriate countermeasures.
You understand widow has feet and can move and doesn’t just stand in one place right? I can guess where she might be but I do need to scout her out and be wary that she is watching the spawn doors.
by that logic people should just know where the doom is and never get punched.
You understand that she can kill you before you know where she is, right?
If i need to peek once to keepmy teammates healed, i’m dead.
I’ve been headshotted while i’m mid ga from cover to cover.
Pixel shots are a thing. Positioning so that you see an enemy between 2 pieces of cover. You kill them and no one knows where she is unless the teammate death pings her. And no one uses death pings.
That’s the flanker/sniper counter, and no one pings upon death to tell the team where the threat is.
It doesn’tmatter if i ping her for my team, because my team keeps walking into her sightlines like lemmings.
There are times when widows are badand oblivious to their surroundings and i can just walk upto them and headshot them in a second as mercy. But those are rarer than you’d think.
