In regard to the noose spray (as a black man)

My man, this game is run by snowflakes. Majority of the player base is snowflakes. A simple name offends players. The word swapping offends players. The phrase not working offends players. This generation is full of entitled snowflakes.

You seem pretty worked up and offended over stuff that doesn’t directly affect the gameplay.

Guess Back to the Future part 3 should also be banned now as it features the main character almost getting hung too. But he’s white, so guess that’s fine.

Geez, all this is literally like that South Park episode about changing the flag.

That is a real thing? What is this world even? It’s bad to not have anyone black and it’s black to have them?

It’s been in the game for FOUR YEARS and no one cared. We had some funny combos with the “punch kid” and that was it. They didn’t add this spray a month ago or something, so it’s not “tone deaf”.

I’ve never seen people hang Doomfist or Bap cute sprays mainly because nobody has them. The noose only fits the cute sprays too so who exactly had a problem with this?

Everything has to be streamlined. Nothing is allowed to even remotely hint at racial or ethnical characteristics. I feel like we’re heading into a cultural dark age where arts and expressions are only permitted when they are abstract constructs that one can relate to. The ultimate gleichschaltung.

Well the kid punching spray will be considered racist soon

Nevermind that blizzard makes a stereotype of all their characters. It’s only inevitable that people will have a problem with Orissa soon

So you made it about race then, you basically just told black people to get over all of the horrific things that happened to them for no reason, and you’re very very very bigoted. Congrats you’ve hit new lows I’ve never seen before.

You’re literally just making random toxic replies to the OP at random intervals.

Yeah, me calling out the sheer ignorance of their post is very toxic and comes off as such. My bad

Well the manner in which you’re replying to him just seems like you’re trying to stir up drama, rather than have an actual discussion. It’s almost like you’re doing it on purpose.

Personally I’ve never seen anyone use the noose spray in any of the matches I’ve been in, secondly I never use the sprays I just don’t see the point but I’m opposed to banning things. Guns are designed to kill people and yet they’re still in the game for now

Anything can be used in an offensive way if you try. Soon people are going to call Lucio’s frog sprays racist and claim that Lucio is being treated like an animal because he’s black.
People getting offended over idiotic things like this has to stop.

People use it on all character sprays. You either were only paying attention to it happening to those characters, or have played the game very little.

When it comes to audio, it’s more about someone getting a large number of reports, since someone actually being racist usually isn’t a one-off thing.

I dunno, seems like many are in agreement with my original post given the likes. Don’t think the majority are snowflakes, but perhaps a vocal minority?

Blizzard on the other hand…I think they’re just doing what’s safest to them from a business standpoint. It seems like they see what goes on on the Twitter bubble and think that’s representative of the world as a whole as well as their entire playerbase.

But who knows really, just a theory. Their game, they can do what they want. But when this vocal minority starts making baseless accusations of the noose’s removal being about racism, that does nothing but create more division and animosity among players imo.

If you get triggered over something you see in a game or internet, you should just uinstall, unplug and live without it.

I remember when Doom first came out in 1993 priests were going on camera telling people playing it was like ‘worshiping the devil’

Now I feel old…

Still ironic how the same people making fun of “triggered sjws” are the same ones acting like them
like the fact that my post got removed and yet this dumpster fire of a thread is still up really makes me question the competency of the moderators Xd

The real irony is people ignoring the context of McCree’s noose spray… it has absolutely nothing to do with racism & Everything to do with Old Western Justice. The spray shouldn’t have been removed, the people using it coupled with racial slurs should have been suspended. But, in 2020, censorship seems to be the consistent answer

Blah blah blah they’re censoring us!! blah blah blah peopel are so sensitive! Now watch me act like a sensitive child! blah blah blah
