Wow… I mean, I figured there would be issues so I held off on logging in today, just can’t believe it would be THIS bad THIS late into the evening.
Definitely a high profile screw up… a really bad look for Blizzard, the higher ups and their investors must be absolutely furious, gonna be bad press if this continues into the next few days, somebody’s gonna lose their job if they hadn’t preemptively quit already. 
What an inauspicious start to a new era for this game.
You haven’t gotten the full treatment yet. After those 30,000 you’ll fail to connect to the game server … rinse and repeat. Good luck!
all day for 8 hours straight…
40,000 then it whittles down to 200 and then 50 and then 4,3,21, connecting to server and then it starts all over again! They should have done a phased rollout, with WPP owners and Legacy players getting 24-hour early access.
Seriously?? YEEESH well now I’m glad I didn’t start earlier in the day, guess I’ll just turn in for the night and try again tomorrow, so lame. I bet game journalists are having a field day with this fiasco, sad to see.
Honestly I think Blizzard should’ve done a better job with the servers, but in the end it isn’t their fault that so many users decide to play the game.
Still a pain to wait for so long though.
