In battlefield 2042 you get the new character after 1 match

Why is it a thing to waste 2 weeks just to unlock a character

The recent character they added is unlocked at level 4 of the battlepass just saying lol

What is even the point in locking the character if you get them after 1 match lol

I’ve never played Battlefield 2042, what kinds of ults do the heroes have?

You mean that game that only has like 5000 active players right now?

Man, wonder why they just give heroes away quickly.

Also it costs $80CAD.

you can play it with a gamepass so not a big deal

Fun fact: There are times where consistently, Battlefield 4, 5, and 1 all have more active communities than 2042 lol almost like, when they made a non-battlefield battlefield game, those who wanted a battlefield game chose to go back to battlefield games, rather than play the non-battlefield game (2042) xD

They just have an unique ability and a passive trait

This isn’t battlefield 2042

I don’t know anything about battlefield but there is literally no excuse to lock new heroes behind the battle pass.

Anyone who supports it is kinda shilly.

The excuse is that it’s an extra push to get all those people who are tempted but still fence sitting to pull the trigger on buying the BP.

Does that make it right? No, but it’s understandable from Blizzard’s perspective.

Idk, I don’t care either way if the hero is on the BP or not, but it’s only like $10 every 5 months, you can earn that by playing.

TBF, if it wasn’t due to the massive amount of critical bugs and the too-hella-huge maps that result in too little intense fights, it could have succeeded.

But then the fan hated the idea of talent (aka hero) so it may still have flopped pretty hard even if its bug free anyways.

(I personally loved that series)

Cool, you are a shill. That is fine, just don’t try to deny it.

lol, BF2042, this stupid garbage joke to the players’ face. Bought day one (yes because for information, it’s not a free to play), uninstalled after 3 days to reinstall BF5 like the majority of players. Re-installed last week because they “worked” on it, uninstalled after 2 games. By the way, I tried COD:MW2 this free week, waaaaay better than BF2042 (and tried XDefiant also, COD-like but no comparison with COD).

Thanks EA and Dice, I will never buy their game again

Try Valorant. You’ll cry.

Now you know why. Buy-to-play game, 9000 players on the last 30 days, they have no choice if they want to keep the small amount of players.

it’s stupid the number of hours you need to unlock a character and companies doing it doesnt make it less of a bad thing

You could argue that but in the long term you are just hurting the competitive aspect of ow2 by limiting meta characters, or make them mad for having to farm too many characters

I think it’s generally bad game design overall to lock characters behind timegating

Free-to-play game design. This is a system to keep players in a game, and it’s the same for every games in fact, you play to unlock things, even in COD/BF, WoW, insert game name, and many others.

Plus, if the game was fine before this new hero and if this new hero is well balanced, what’s the problem with the meta. And last but not least, everyone like me tried Weaver for 5 days and absolutely no one picks him since and wait for his update next week.

Did people here really tried to justify locking heroes away? :joy:

Bliz want your money.

Its absolutely a P2W mechanic. Players that unlock the hero early by paying for the battlepass get to play them in the main game mode, whereas other poorer people dont.

Its horrible.
