For a little over a month now I have been practicing my mechanical skill for about 45 mins to an hour everyday (by shooting Anna bots as Mcree or Tracer), but I don’t feel like I’m getting anywhere. Does anyone know if it possible that 45 mins to an hour everyday is too much because I see most people recommend 10 mins everyday.
To train Ana et Zenyatta, i play them in DeathMatch. I pick Mcree aswell.
For me, this mode is the best to warm-up/train because you are against real players who are harder to predict.
I think with time you are being used to predict bots so it begin to be a useless training.
Play FFA against real people. Look in custom games for the aim practice types or make one yourself.
Bots are ok up to a certain point and there is no way you haven’t gotten better by practicing unless your not focusing on your weaknesses.
Along with practicing with heroes in game, I recommend getting a game off of steam called Aim Hero. It costs only 5 dollars, and it is very worth it because of what it does. Aim hero is essentially just series of Aim drills to improve your aim in different areas such as basic aim, reflex shooting, tracking, strafing, etc. I have been doing about 15 minutes of drills before practicing and doing scrims with my school’s team and it has seriously helped my aim.
Best of Luck!!
Hey man. As someone who improved aim lots. I also tried very different things. Here are my suggestions:
- mousepad
- practice with real people. Bots =not= people. Real people have different movement pattern thats unpredictible.
- 60 fps minimum. 144 fps with 144 hz monitor is optimal. Thats what pros use
- adjust your sensitivity till you are perfectly comfortable with it
Lastly zen is kind of projectile aiming. Lots of people are good with hitscans but not great with projectile aiming.
And what exactly are you trying to improve?
Tracking? Flicking? Headshots? 180s?
Do you experience packet loss or high latency? What’s you SIM value in game?
How does sim value help with aim. What ks that lol
It helps a lot - lower SIM makes movement a lot smoother.
AIm : for me, on every ranked session i do 10 min of osu and 15 min of heroes Aim as warnup.
On a heores like mccree, i can see a differnce of 15-20 % aim with and whitout warnup.
game sence : look at pro game, review your own game.
Mechanical skill : train in training ground and do a lot of game with your hero to try different thing. You can look at trick video to like surf jumb for moira or a one tips for rein against every heroes. It give you a lot of information.
Train your mindset too. (dont lauch OW and go on ranked for your first game for example). As a main tank, the mindset is different between Rein and winston for example.
The main point is you have to play a lot and not only ranked too improve.
So Ana bots is a great start, HOWEVER, they become really predictable after awhile. Don’t put in that much time because you aren’t creating skill, you’re creating muscle memory against bots. Try to kill 40 a day and stop. Then try to go into a widow HS only. In the beginning, you’ll absolutely get wrecked. But after awhile, I’ve actually been getting in top 3 etc etc and it really helps reaction time and accuracy.
