Implement an AVOID GROUP

EFS59V peak gameplay as solo player! 4 stack or 2+2 (but watched their play, I think they are all low bronzes) charge into 5 players, spamming NEED heal, at the end blame healing and offcourse report the solo player = me. Nice.
Dps = in group with tank, but never help him at all, going Bastion vs Hanzo, try to flank alone meanwhile tank fights 5 players.. chickens

I ll rather wait 20 min than play this idiotic garbage!

If they’re in a group, you only need to avoid one of them, then none will be on your team.

Thats the only good thing about it. But the game is still ruined.
I cannt remember how many good games was playing in group, but very little.
Solo players are just better, they do not focus on bronze troll friend but accually on whole game and adjust themself.
I would enjoy an Avoid group button

Wait a minute, according to this place groups are this unstoppable juggernaut capable of cosmic level calamity that would immediately “stomp” any and all solo plebs into the ground!

You mean that the forums have been exaggerating this entire time?

Say it ain’t so!

It’s not a win for anyone. It would mean longer queue times and a split player base. Fewer people in the matchmaking pool means decreased match quality. I don’t want to wait longer for worse matches just because some people believe groups are a problem.

Why does this team based game insist on rewarding players using teamwork?!? Clearly, the people playing the game correctly (ie, as part of a coordinated group) should be punished for their insolence.

ive had people say they are going to report me because they felt i didnt heal them enough. My response is usually “good luck with that”.

i dont know that it would decrease match “quality”. It might slow down queue times a little, depending on how many opted in to the solo queue. That, however, does beg the question, its acknowledged that a solo queue would impact queue times. Maybe that means there are enough people who feel strongly about going up against stacks?

I acknowledge that stacks are not always a sure fire win, but, a group of people who know and play together a lot, will have a higher chance to have an inherent advantage over a group of strangers. In other words, in 1000 games of stacks vs solo’s, I would imagine the stacks would show a statistical advantage percentage over the group of randoms.

Hell, id restrict QP games even further. This nonsense about putting masters level players with bronze and silver is just asinine. There is no reason I should have to be trying to play the game, and dealing with a masters level tracer or venture constantly killing me over and over. It would actually implement narrow grouping for QP. Ill take longer queue times over very poor match quality. If there are not enough people playing the game, then blizzard needs to figure out how to increase the player base.

not at all. first, it is a “team based” game in that, when you enter, you are placed on a “team”. That “team”, for us solo queue players, is a group of random people who we’ve never met before, many of whom are probably not focused on the game. They might have a TV playing in the background they are paying attention to, or maybe they are listening to music during the game just “chillin’”. This, opposed to a group of friends who might be more focused, or gel together more naturally.

I would never suggest punishing them, maybe just make them go against other pre mades, what’s wrong with that?

I don’t think it makes sense to put all those restrictions on quickplay since we already have a mode with longer queue times that groups by rank and even has grouping restrictions at high ranks, which is competitive. Quickplay is mostly going to be groups of mixed-skill friends playing together, so anything that hinders that isn’t a good fit in my opinion.

And if I were good enough to be at least diamond, or, if blizzard could find a way to remove all of the smurfs and all of the alt account players who like to hang out in low ranks for kicks and giggle, where it would make sense for me to play, I would. As it is right now, I just cant see wasting my time in a “ranked” mode when there is almost no quality control about who is allowed to go into those games and screw with us trying to actually play in a competitive mode. Right now, bronze/silver/gold is just infested with smurfs, so it doesnt make any sense to go there.

anytime someone says they are going to report me, i always say “please do and good luck with that”.

I always try to play my best, and while sometimes, if we are getting beaten REALLY badly, it might make my “give a sh*t” meter to drop to where im not going to put in a lot of effort, ill never outright “throw”, so, im not worried about being found to do anything wrong, and if the auto ban system gets to me, oh well, ill go play something else for a day or two.

Just ignore groups who say stuff like that. Nobody is getting falsely banned from a group illegeitmately reporting them. It only counts as one report anyway, and you need several reports over several matches to be actioned, at which point there’s probably actually an issue. I report people who abuse the report system, and they sometimes get banned for it, so try that. If they call for it on one game, they probably do it enough to get banned.

Either way, solo queue wouldn’t fix that issue. Toxic people are going to toxic wherever they are about whatever they think is causing them to lose. That’s the root issue.

Same. Just check replay, it is short game.. Doom just used all CD and died, than swapped to Rein, and kept chargin in alone and ded and blame me..
