Genji is currently not doing so well.
Using the state of Sym as an excuse to not fix Genji is not a real argument.
Same with using Genji’s state to try and say Sym shouldn’t get fixed.
Both should get fixed

Take that kit and compare it to Genji, Tracer, Doomfist, Solider, Hanzo, Widow, and Sombra.
Not so much of a “meme” now is it?
Notice your wording.
“SOME” skill.
Sure. She takes “some skill” to play as do pretty much every hero in the game.
That still doesn’t make her any less braindead than a majority of the cast in comparison.
I am referring to the current one.
Why would I be trying to compare using an older version of her?.. that doesn’t make any sense at all.
Lol I’m garbage for thinking Sym is low skilled? XD
With that logic, I’m also garbage for thinking Genji or Tracer are high skilled.
Nope. Not opinion. Objectively speaking, those are facts.
Compare her tool kit and playstyle to all the other heroes in the roster and you’ll notice that her skill ceiling doesn’t compare to a majority of other heroes.
Same thing with Reaper during double shield and why players were so frustrated with the game. Because he had a braindead kit with minimal mechanical cost and too much reward which is why even Reaper mains like myself are glad he is finally in a good spot.
No.
If that was the case, then you should also be able to see success with a much higher picked hero which is absolutely not true.
Picture a game like Super Smash Bros
Some people may lean towards a lower tier character because they want some sort of “challenge” but the problem with that mindset is that it assumes that playing a character that has a much higher spot on the tier list with better tournament results and overall playerbase somehow qualifies them more to win tournaments just by playing that character.
That’s completely false. High tier heroes require just as much (if not more) mechanical practice, tournament presence, VOD reviewing, and matchup studying to succeed with especially if you are trying to go pro.
Same thing with Overwatch.
What I’m trying to say is just because you are picked highly DOESNT make you an easier hero to play than those that are lower picked.
(Assuming Genji is meta) Just because Genji is a meta hero doesn’t make him easier to play than Symmetra since his entire kit is more revolved around mechanics and control.
That’s not how logic works but I’m not surprised you’d make that mistake given your posts in this thread.
This. Its so annoying to keep seeing the same looooong list of “counters” when actually it’s a widespread thing, not exclusive to Genji.
The victim complex of some Genji mains is such an eyeroll-fest. Breathing hardcounters Genji according to some.
When you go from OP to midtier, of course you’re gonna feel “weak.”
I didn’t know I was making a mistake by using the logic from the horse’s mouth.
I mean, you made 2 unrelated points 1 related point because reasons so really IDK what to do with you hun
I know what you can do.
You can admit that you don’t make sense.
I mean, you want to argue logic with me yet you think me saying Sym is braindead qualifies me as a “bad player”.
And I’m just using that same logic against you.
Actually it still is, since Sym 2.0 was easier than them.
Not sure what you are going off. Are you saying Sym 2.0 is harder than those heroes?
I was comparing her to Sym 2.0, which the skill difference is huge. Also if she was easy braindead why is no one playing her like Moira?
Sym is actually harder than most heroes since you gotta put a lot more effort to win. Just like Sombra actually.
Playing a handicapped hero is always harder.
Nor does calling her “low skill” make any sense, considering it is harder to win games with her.
No sweaty, because “Sym is lowskill” = false “Tracer and Genji are highskill” = true. So saying both doesn’t make you bad, saying the false thing makes you bad.
Get it?
Basically, you only think Sym is lowskill if you’re too slow and stupid to kill her turrets is what I was trying to hint at.
I will make the observation about Sym easier to show how low skill makes no sense.
What exactly is the easy thing that Sym can do better than the other DPS besides die.
Are we calling Soldier’s aim form ult, high skill? McCree’s speedy fire rate to melt most DPS faster than Sym can get to charge 3 harder and more skillful?
And Echo is coming to the game your low skill concept is moot and never existed.
Some clutch moves and plays can be made with heroes but the carry skill tends to be absent in this game as teamwork is the real skill that consistently gets you wins in OW.
Fixed it for you.
You’ll thank me later.
I get it.
I get it that you’re so thick headed that you can’t see plain reasoning and common sense.
I don’t need to die to a Sym to know she is braindead.
Same reason that I don’t need to die let alone lose a whole match to a Bastion to know that he is a braindead hero that does nothing but sit in one spot most of the time and shoot down a choke to deal unholy amounts of damage.
And you honestly want to talk “logic” with me? XD
You’re honestly hilarious XD
Says the guy who has experience in that field.
Lol you know what?
I’ll do you a solid because I already pity you in this conversation. And this is me being generous.
I’ll give this one to you. From the bottom of my heart. You get a point here.
With that being said, hypothetically speaking, even if I was lazy and didn’t immediately kill the turret, that still doesn’t make Sym any less braindead of a hero to basically throw their turrets on one wall and then have them just automatically deal damage and/or get some form of value on a shield or an enemy.

I think I see what type of person I’m dealing with here. I feel sorry for you!
The words of defeat^^^
Goodnight
Or he does not want this thread to go off topic and get you in trouble. Also talking with the same person for the next two days is not fun. Trust me I’ve been there, better to stop than be dragged in and waste time.
No offence but it does not look like you are planning to open up anyway.
You know you never actually said why you think Sym is low skill.
A very ironic name…
I don’t consider Genji’s skill ceiling that high either, but it’s higher than Symmetra’s.
I predicted this when Sym was reworked - it didn’t matter that she has a beam weapon same as Zarya, people still treat her like she has a lock-on weapon. Notice how Echo has a beam way more deadly than Moira’s that’s forgiving too, yet you don’t hear people say she’s easy or no-skill.
Neither do I.
lol what? In trouble on a forum site?
Oh hellllll no! Such a crime!
Welp, he/she are the ones making replies so expect replies back. I’m not the one forcing anyone to say anything.
If you don’t want to have an intellectual conversation, then by all means go about your business.
Hey man, I am more than willing to listen to what others have to say. But when the context is taken into play and you try and deny things that objectively make sense (such as Sym shouldn’t be a higher played hero than a majority of other heroes in the game), then I don’t take too kindly to that considering denying that philosophy has caused this game to be at it’s peak worst where low-skilled and braindead heroes rained supreme in the meta.
That’s not fun. That’s just frustrating and not worth taking seriously.
I actually did but I’ll reiterate.
It’s because her primary is so ridiculously forgiving since it deals unholy amounts of damage not only by hitting actual enemies but by grazing shields and the sheer fact that even one of her turrets at a pretty decent range can slow an opponent down that make even THAT JOB easier.
Now compare that to a hero like McCree who doesn’t get any sort of luxury like that to just hit shields and still apply ridiculous amount of pressure who ALSO doesn’t have nearly as good of an escape option if being cornered (reffering to TP).
Or a Genji that has to learn to aim with a projectile and actually land a majority of shots to make the opponent feel like he’s a threat (who also can’t just shoot shields) and has an ultimate that is much higher skilled to utilize.
Or a Tracer where aim has to be compensated for your ridiculously fast movement while having the lowest health pool in the game where you can randomly die to the most awkward things with one tap to the head.
