instead of Blizzard’s impulsive decision to push into OW2 and just puts the game into an endless limbo.
With Overwatch’s lore deeper and more vast and how impressive their shorts always are, an OW animated series could have simply bloomed better than OW 2.
i’d like to see a show about OW, but even if it was a realistic possibility blizz would probably fumble it with “soons” and “in the coming weeks” like they usually do lol

, BUT they should have lanced that around 2017/18 or so… 
The fault is not the existence of OW2, but that Blizzard refuses to release an honest amount of how the work is progressing. because he wants Show streaming (the OW leagues) to have maximum visibility as an advertising space even for those who have no interest in e-sports. And look fat and important on the number of viewers that are written on the stream. in a nutshell, the “Bobby Kotick treatment” of looking like a super important element.
elephant in the room: if there is no game, there should be no tournament. but that’s cool, we already know what date to mark on the calendar for the start of OWL 2022, but not what game it is and in what conditions it is reduced.
lately I see a lot of people saying “but it’s a good thing to know the OWL 2022 dta, it’s a clue as to when we have news on OW2”. And I wonder: are we seriously depending for the umpteenth time on how the OWL should be organized to have a game? a tournament BEFORE the game?
let’s remember these folks as soon as they get here complaining that OWLs are considered more than in-game stats of what they’re playing at home.
This. It’s vastly frustrating that all the news about a game I care about(overwatch) is being filtered through a useless and foundering esport. It’s not making me suddenly care about OWL, Blizzard. It’s making me even more annoyed and bitter at it’s existence.
