As said, I’m tired of comp and just want to enjoy QP with my wife. But meeting master and top 500 players every time we play is not fun at all. We are not close to being on that level so wth should we face their teams/premade smurf teams. Blizz devs need to fix this fast because this game is unplayable as it is atm. And I don’t mean that people just have to fool around in QP, I’m doing my best in QP.

Yea… yesterday many of my matches were full of GMs and top500s.
I wonder how I can get mutliple games in a row like that with different top players. Couldn’t the matchmaker wait like a few minutes more to match them all together?
There are no ranks or levels in QP.
They should just take the underlined portion out at this point.

OW is F2P game, with f2p you get “user experience”, not just a game. And user experience is something that demanding a lot of devs(balance team, pr and etc included) experience. experience that they only started to acquire. Currently they play with 50/50 win\lose rate and fast queue. Maybe one day they will set more ambitions goals like make this game “fun to play” .
If you’re against them, then they’re also on your team. That’s how its worked. Doesn’t mean they’re all playing to win though.
Are you just going off by titles? Lol you shouldn’t do that. Im a GM dps and a masters support but im currently a gold tank player. I can definitely easily make it to diamond but I admit I’m not the best tank player out there. So even though people will see a GM title on me, I’m still technically a gold tank player. Don’t trust the titles is all I can say. Also people in quickplay are way more relaxed, I always go around doing silly things I would never do at my GM ranks.
No, I am going off by open profiles of players who have a super shiny rank with a little number attached to it at the same role they played in the match.
The other ones were “just” regular GMs (also in the roles they played) with the exception of that one Hammond who was “silver” but played better than everyone else.
The devs don’t want to fix it… they’ll just keep making excuses. They’ll say they’re “working” on it forever until the game fails. They just want to give free wins so the higher level players feel big and keep playing. They figure even if the actual longtime casual players give up and leave they can keep convincing F2P people to keep coming back for a while to keep the easy kill targets for the high players.
Just leave the matches, and then when we see it’s another day that they won’t stop the preselected stomp matches, log back out. Don’t participate in the stomp matches anymore. And definitely don’t buy anything else from the game.
This has been a problem for a long time. I play in a very casual group and we’re put into Quick Play matches with some of the very best players in the game. When this happens, we’re essentially reduced to a sort of spectator status. The match feels weird, whether we win or lose and there’s nothing for us to learn with such a huge skill diff.
So you want to relax and enjoy the game, but it’s only fun if you win? The algorithm guarantees a pendulum-ride of wins and losses regardless of your rank or mode. How did you not already expect this?
Those games are over in five minutes usually. Yes they suck but they are not some new phenomenon.
90% of the lossses are due to really really bad and dumb DPS.

I’ll have multiple masters/GM/top 500 on teh enemy team, some on my team. A lot of diamonds sprinkled in between.
I learned a lot, and have fun. But the matches are sweaty as hell.
The fact is that Diamond players only make up 10% of the Overwatch population. GM is like 1%?
The math is NOT adding up why one gets matched with so many so often.

Not in the same match. Plenty of matches where one side has all the masters~top500 while the other side are just diamond and below.
They dont even match by roles i have number of games where the other team’s support are both gm in the current season meanwhile me only at low diamond and my other sup at plat.

The MMR system here is more like a teeter totter than a ladder, even in Quick Play, because of role-queue and team-averages.
