I'm so happy that

I lost 30SR on a match where my team had one of the healers leave before halfway through the match.

Sorry to hear that man. And honestly, when you have a leaver on the team that early, you shouldn’t be penalized with that much SR loss.

It doesn’t seem that bad compared to the 1-2 ratio that I’m going with tonight. I just don’t get how I can go from one good team to sooooo many in a row that just don’t communicate.

Most teams aren’t going to communicate at all, especially at low ranks. You said you shotcall a lot, chances are there are a lot of games you are in where you’re the only one on either team attempting to use comms.

Yeah its annoying, when I’m calling things out and it’s just not happening. I wish I could find a tank/healer carry at this point. I would just like to get out of this rank and enjoy where people actually communicate. I’m not the greatest but I don’t feel like I will grow stuck where I’m at.

You just gotta curate your own teammates after a while. Find people looking to work as a team and especially ones who can be flexible and make a discord server together and play together as much as possible.

it has to be this way, otherwise people would get someone to leave and take the hit for everyone elses SR if they knew they were going to lose

the system isnt perfect, but the alternative would cause a lot more problems

It doesn’t have to be this way. This isn’t a f2p game. There is a multitude of things they could do to reduce this.

I disagree, it doesn’t have to be that way. While it’s possible for a team with a leaver to win, in most cases where a person leaves, it’s usually because the team is losing in the first place. And I differentiate between people who leave, and people who get disconnected for various reasons.

Also, I’d just like to point out, when someone leaves on the opposing team, the winning team has their SR gains handicapped. So even though the losing team still loses the same, the winning team is gaining less and less SR with every player who leaves. So why’s it okay to reduce the SR gain for the winners, but not reduce the SR loss for the losers who stick to the end?

I gotta say, your statement doesn’t really contribute anything. I think OP has an example of a valid flaw in the system, and it’s a bit silly to just excuse that.

i left my first game ever, and it’s actually hilarious. I think i’ve converted to the dark side.
