I'm sick of McCree in every game

Baseless, shallow rant thread. Not a balance suggestion thread.

Every comp game is McCree. Every qp minus a handful have him.

I don’t care about his balance. I don’t have opinions on it other than Deadeye is useless and flashbang needs to be made more consistent.

I just WANT ONE GAME WITHOUT HIM! I’m SICK of seeing him every, freaking, GAME, regardless of the mode!

At this point I almost want hero pools just to get a break from him! I’m getting tired of playing this game because every match is mirror McCree. Delete my main if it means I can stop seeing him every match.

If people keep playing dive or aerial units McCree is likely going to keep being played. Which people in QP love to use flanking characters.

I meant that i want him nerfed because he is overperforming so players are using him cause of what he is capable of. its annoying seeing him in my games 100% of the time

I could not agree more with this thread. He’s just everywhere. It’s not even in 1 or 2 ranks either. It’s every rank.

I just hate him because he is such a generalist it feels impossible to counter him. So my only option is pick someone he doesn’t counter. Like another hitscan. I don’t like him for the same reasons I dislike Pharah. He makes the heroes I like to play kinda redundant by existing and I could play what I wanted into him but only if I like stun right click combos. At least pharah doesn’t instakill me and I can try avoid her. Or I can get her down with some sneaky tactics. Mccree just kinda doesn’t die. Yet he’s in EVERY GAME.

Honestly, amen to that. I’m sick of seeing hitscan in general. I would genuinely take a patch that just removes every non bloom hitscan for a week.

Every single game, whether it be quick play, competitive or quick play classic, is 150% guranteed to have either a mccree, ashe, widow or soldier. Every single one.

I cannot get a break from these damn characters.

Mccree’s an all-rounder (something that seems increasingly rare these days), forgiving, cowboys are a common male fantasy, and voiced by Matt Mercer. It’s easy to see why he’s so popular, but yeah…

Hopefully Genji gets buffed soon so we can at least have a weeb change of pace for awhile.

You can make a custom game that disables McCree from being picked if you want.

This is generally why I’m tired of him. I feel like I have to go to McCree to counter him, or Ashe.

But even then I’m CLEARLY frustrated so I don’t want to suggest any balance changes because I hate him so much lmao. I don’t know what he needs. I don’t know if he needs anything. I just want a break from him. Maybe if I don’t have him in EVERY game, I can be okay with his current kit.

He has easily the most satisfying primary fire in the entire game.

Plus, he has his own animated short.

McCree is like the Dva or Mercy of the Dps roster, they’re just all really cool and easily likeable :woman_shrugging:

Exactly! Ashe is my most played but sometimes I want to play Sym Sombra Pharah or another character like that. But Mccree says no. Yes I can avoid him but that makes playing a chore because not only does he outrange you but he outbrawls you too.

I agree. I don’t know what he needs because before these buffs he was literally trash. But I still feel like he needs a tiny nerf at least.

Where the hell are you getting 8.80% pickrate from?
He has 6.19% in the last week meanwhile Tracer is at 5.69%

If they either nerfed Hammond or buffed his counters, DPS players wouldn’t need to play McCree, just like Support players wouldn’t need to play Zen so they can actually kill the Hammond

Sombra and Mei are supposed to be the best Hammond counters and yet they’re sitting at 0.47% and 0.17%

lmao I swear to god my overbuff stats are all over the place. I literally just refreshed to the exact same thing and it’s totally different.

Anyway, it’s beside the point.

He’s everywhere. Some of us are just sick of the sight of him.
