Iām sick of McCreeās flash-bang not registering. This has been a problem for a long time and I feel like itās recently gotten worse.

All of this STILL except now heroes are now being forced out of the meta right before the next OWL season(while balanced) instead of other heroes being buffed/new content being released to change the meta.
Heroes are feeling gutted and unfun to play so OWL can remain watchable instead of the game remaining fun.

You knowā¦ This is my first post admitting it after two and a half years butā¦ Yes.
The game is starting to show some wear and tear. There are cracks in the faƧade and itās not nice seeing them.
It just feels likeā¦ The enthusiasm isnāt there anymore. The same vivid, colorful world and heroes that got us hooked, the funky and fresh and exciting gameplayā¦ All of it has been growing stale and stagnant for a while. Tiring. I donāt know. Things just keep piling up. They just keep adding up and we just turn a blind eye.
For me, the starting point was the continuous ignoring of all the Mercy mega threads. Strange mod decisions on the forums followed.
The way toxicity is often ignored, the way developer updates are so often so out of touch with the community.
The skins for money, the consistent push for esports transforming this cool niche game into the mainstream dumpster fire so many other games have been like before it.
The zero lore updates - Winston sending out the Recall signal and heroes getting it was literally the lorewise most current event and that was three years ago, at the launch.
The game world has been at a slow burn since the start and events recently are basically money grabs and yearly Chinese skin parades, recycling the same things over and over and over again.
And donāt get me wrong, the community changed too. I remember when I joined, this was a smaller, warm, welcoming, friendly, cool, supporting community, a breath of fresh air after the zombie apocalypse that is the wider gaming world.
But it grew andā¦ Changed. Became more and more competitive-focused, fun went out the window in favor of balance and leaderboards, ranks dominate everything. I feel like the average age of the player base decreased and the quality of the community experience has been falling.
I mostly gave up on a Mercy cinematic, lore develolment, a Talon v Overwatch event.
No but I could list a hundred little things now that I look back. Including how gender issues are handled, what a normal game looks likeā¦ All that.
All in all, as a guy who just wants to have a good time being a gamer geek, playing this superhero game with the girls and boys after a hard day - I feel like Iām more and more not welcome here. The faƧade is cracking and I donāt know how long the majority of the community will stay here until we all get too tired of it and move on.
And donāt get me wrong Iām also a positive person. The most enthusiastic Overwatch fan and in game, I will support you and cheer you on and encourage you and my team until the end of the world.
Itās just that I donāt know. I guess this has been brewing for a while and now that I see all these legit complaints it just triggered it. I donāt know.

I find it funny that in 1 year they have managed to improve upon 3 things mentioned in that list. I swear other games manage to do the same in a few monthsā¦

Iām sick of all these solid matches turning into swamp, because the enemy has that Mei/Pharah/Tracer who murders my teammates over and over.
Sorry but dumbest post since a long time.
Learn playing the game and find friends who play with you and protect you.

Which role are you playing against these 3 heroes? Are you protecting your teammates?
There will always be anoyying games when everyone can pick whatever they want. End of story. How fun do you think it is when enemy team has 3 snipers?
I even get trash talked that Iām a bad support when Iām the only one.
